■ The Player is the Poison Maiden’s Partner

You, the protagonist, and the Poison Maiden, with whom you share a body, are each other’s partners. Communication with the Poison Maiden is crucial in the purification of hell. Depending on your choices, stats such as “Spirit,” “Body,” and “Knowledge” will improve, and by gaining the trust of the Poison Maiden, her attitude towards the protagonist will transform into a deeper relationship.

By approaching the symbols on the map, you can see information such as how each Maiden Hell was born. Be sure to visit the gift shop run by demoness Dorami Mitogawa every once in a while.

The protagonist can equip four types of poison: “Attack Poison” and “Delusional Being Poison” that can be used in attacks, “Defensive Poison” that add defense power and support skills, and “Catalyst Poison.” There are various poisons that reflect the characteristics of the girls who fell to hell, so equip them based on the mission and enemy.

■ Action: Electric Spirit Release Attack

As you purify hell, you can use the spirit of hell to perform special attacks. By unleashing all of the spirit you have built up through purification, you can use more powerful attacks than usual.

—When the radio gauge in the lower-right of the screen ifs full, you can perform an “Electric Spirit Release Attack.” It requires a certain amount of time before it can be used, so it is important to determine the proper timing.

■ The Girls of Maiden Hell

Maiden Hell changes the reflect the heart of the girl who gave birth to that hell. From that visual scene, you can see what caused the girl to fall to hell, so face against the “poison” of that girl’s heart and purify hell.

The Hell of a Girl Whose Dog Died

The hell of a girl who became emotionally unstable after her dog died. Believing in the story of her picture brook—“When heaven is full of souls, the excess souls will return to life”—she starts killing small animals.

The Hell of a Girl who Loved Mascot Characters

A girl who is overly obsessed with her mascot character hobby to the point where she repeatedly exhibited troublesome behavior such as breaking into events. Because of that obsession, the Delusional Beings in her hell resemble her favorite mascot characters.

A girl from a family of former nobles who worked as a hospital nurse intern. She is confused as to how she died and why she fell into hell.

—Some of the Hell Maidens can talk to the lord of hell. The girl’s heart is a major hint for purification.

A girl who was a famous figure skater, but died in an accident that caused her ferry to capsize. Her despair on the verge of death gave birth to her Maiden Hell.

Recovery items can be purchased as downloadable content in-game. You can expand the maximum amount of recovery items you have from three to four. This will make the time to recover HP faster, the pace of battles smoother, and the experience more engaging.

—There are usually three butterfly-shaped recovery items in the lower-right corner of the screen. When your HP becomes 0, one is consumed and you recover by Poison Swamp purification.

Labyrinth of Galleria: Coven of Dusk launches November 26 in Japan

The long-delayed Labyrinth of Galleria: Coven of Dusk will launch for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita on November 26 in Japan, Dengeki Online confirmed.

Users who purchase a “Dengeki Special Pack” version of the standard or limited editions from Dengekiya will receive the following two bonuses: a B2 tapestry featuring an illustration by Takehito Harada, and Dengeki-original downloadable content. Details about the downloadable content will be announced at a later date.

The dungeon RPG, a followup to Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk, was originally planned for release on July 25, 2019, but was delayed to spring 2020, then delayed again to an unannounced release date.

■ What is Labyrinth of Galleria?

“Galleria Palace” is an estate built in a remote area.

It is said that there is an untrodden labyrinth beneath it, where strange, mysterious, unidentified art pieces called “strange objects” are stored…

The player becomes a “wandering soul” summoned to the magic lantern “Necrolantern” by the witch Madam Malta, and with the help of her exploration assistant Eureka, must seek out the strange objects in the underground labyrinth.

—It is said that the underground labyrinth is where the mysterious and unidentifiable works art pieces known as “strange objects” are stored.

—At the witch Madam Malta’s command, the player will search for strange objects in the mysterious and dangerous underground labyrinth.

Dreadful monsters will attack the player as they search for strange objects in the labyrinth. Fighting them is a good thing to do, but it may not always be possible to win. If you encounter a monster that looks stronger than you, be sure to escape.

The labyrinth is complex, and it is not always possible to move forward by simply continuing along the path. By using the power of the player’s avatar Necrolantern, it may be possible to discover new areas by destroying walls, diving underwater, and forging your own path.

Humans cannot enter the underground labyrinth and return alive, so the player will command a brigade of “puppet soldiers” created by the witch to clear the monster-filled labyrinth. The deeper you proceed into the labyrinth, the stronger and more dreadful the monsters that appear. Puppet soldiers will grow as they fight, so train them well and press onward.

—The “Man-Eating Wardrobe,” the only entrance (and exit) to the underground labyrinth, is a fearsome strange object. Humans who enter it cannot return alive.

You can make however many “puppet soldiers” you like as long as you have the materials to do so. When making them, you can decide all the parts that make up the unique elements of that puppet soldier, including its name, appearance, and how it will grow. Make your puppet soldiers how you like and take them into the dungeon.

By registering the puppet soldiers you have created with an item called “Soul Pact,” you can form a “coven” of puppet soldiers. The puppet soldiers that belong to a coven fight in cooperation with each other. It is up to the player to decide which puppet soldiers belong to which coven, so create covens as you see fit.

Eureka, The Witch’s Exploration Assistant

A bright and kind-hearted girl who came to Galleria Palace after seeing a poster for an exploration assistant. She assist the witch Madam Malta in exploring the underground labyrinth. She is good at housework and looks after the player’s avatar Necrolantern.

Necrolantern, the Strange Lantern

A lantern that contains the “wandering souls” and “player’s soul” summoned by the witch Madam Malta. As the player’s avatar, it leads the puppet soldiers into the underground labyrinth. Since it cannot move on its own, it acts with Eureka’s help above ground, while it works with the puppet soldiers underground.

Madam Malta, The Old Witch

An old witch who goes by the nickname Grandma. She will search to find the strange objects hidden within the labyrinth using the puppet soldiers. She is skilled in necromancy and alchemy, and looks just as you would expect a witch to look.

The granddaughter of the witch Madam Malta. She travels with and assists Madam Malta. She is a silent and unfriendly, and loves cats.
