Trama

Chihaya ha un sogno. Quello di veder diventare la sorella una modella. Un giorno un nuovo studente si trasferisce nella sua scuola: Arata. Il nuovo ragazzo le dice che sta sbagliando a incentrare i suoi sogni sugli altri e che un sogno va coltivato su se stessi. Arata è infatti un giocatore esperto di Hyakunin Isshu (un gioco di carte tradizionale) e gioca in un modo che Chihaya non aveva mai visto prima. Dopo aver preso il posto di Arata in una partita, se ne scopre appassionata. Ora Chihaya intende diventare la numero uno al mondo!

Chihayafuru TV Anime Gets 3rd Season in 2019

A voice actor stage presentation at the "Chihayafuru in Awara Week" event on Sunday announced that Yuki Suetsugu's Chihayafuru manga is getting a third television anime season. The anime will premiere in 2019 on NTV's late-night AnichU programming block and on other channels.

Chihayafuru Anime's 3rd Season Reveals Visual, April Premiere

NTV's official website for the third television anime season based on Yuki Suetsugu's Chihayafuru manga revealed on Monday that the third season will premiere in April and will air on NTV's "AnichU" programming block.

Morio Asaka is returning to direct the anime at Madhouse. The three main cast members will also return:

Chihayafuru Creator: Manga Will Not End Until At Least October

Chihayafuru manga creator Yuki Suetsugu revealed on her Twitter account on Tuesday that the manga will likely not end until at least October, when the third television anime season will premiere.
 

Suetsugu said that even when discussions about a third anime season started years ago, she was told then that the season would not air until 2019. She was also privately asked if the manga would still be running in 2019, and she thought at the time that the manga would end around this spring. She added that being able to continue until the anime's third season comes out is "like a dream."

Chihayafuru Season 3 Anime Reveals Theme Song Artists

The official Twitter account for the anime adaptations of Yuki Suetsugu's Chihayafuru manga revealed the opening and ending theme song artists for Chihayafuru 3, the third television anime season, on Friday. 99RadioService, who performed the opening themes for both previous seasons, returns to perform the new opening song "COLORFUL." Band Harassment will perform the ending theme song "Hitomebore" (Love at First Sight).

Chihayafuru Anime Season 3 Recasts Harada, Miyauchi

The voice cast members for the third Chihayafuru anime season announced on Sunday two cast changes, after two previous cast members passed away. Kenta Miyake (My Hero Academia's All Might) replaces Unshō Ishizuka as Dr. Harada, the mentor who teaches the traditional Japanese game of karuta to the main character Chihaya.

Yoshino Ohtori replaces Toshiko Fujita as Taeko Miyauchi, the karuta club advisor at Chihaya's high school. Both Ishizuka and Fujita passed away last year.

The voice cast members announced the cast changes during the "Chihayafuru week in Awara 2019" event in Awara City, Fukui Prefecture.

Chihayafuru Anime Season 3's Video Previews Opening Song, More Returning Cast

The newly confirmed returning cast members include Tooru Nara as Yūsei Nishida, Ai Kayano as Kanade Ōe, Tsubasa Yonaga as Tsutomu Komano, Megumi Han as Sumire Hanano, and Miyu Irino as Akihiro Tsukuba.

The new season was slated to premiere in April on NTV's "AnichU" programming block, but was delayed to October. The season is scheduled to air for two cours (two quarters of a year).
