Sul III ci fu un hype pazzesco, cambio continentale di ambientazione, nuovo motore di gioco, vero open world (per l'epoca), campagna pubblicitaria imponente (ricordo un intero stand a Lucca Comics), e ultimo presentato come capitolo finale.
Al lancio fece tantissimo, poi sono emersi i difetti, ma ormai tutti l'avevano già preso.

Sì, diciamo che ha avuto la fortuna di trovarsi al posto giusto nel suo momento di massima forma con un argomento parecchio caro al pubblico americano.

Perché il 3 è (per evidenti ragioni) il più amato e discusso negli USA ma non qui in Europa.

A livello globale non credo cambierebbe molto la testa della classifica, ricordo Ubisoft disse che il lancio di Valhalla fu "il più profittevole della saga" ma non in termini di vendite, record che appartiene ancora al III con 12 milioni nel primo trimestre.
Sicuramente qui sono più amati quelli ambientati in Europa, ma sommando i mercati il 2 non credo andrebbe troppo oltre il 4° posto.
