Sony Online Entertainment are working on a set of unannounced games, some of which CEO John Smedley claims PS2 players “might just like.” With Everquest Next handling the main Everquest line going forward, it might just be that Sony are looking to revive the Champions series. In a recent post on Reddit, CEO of SOE John Smedley discussed a subscription that covered a number of SOE’s games. We are considering (and are likely going to move forward with) a plan that means if you subscribe to one of our games you are a subscriber to all our games (this applies to PC titles only btw).. all for the current $14.99 a month. That’s a benefit most companies simply can’t offer because they don’t have our portfolio of games. The goal would be to let you pick an item in each game you play. Some of you might say “well who cares..I only play Planetside 2. How is that a benefit to me?” My answer is simple – we’ve got a great lineup of games, some of which aren’t announced yet that cater to a lot of players. We have EQN and EQNL coming along with other….. games… that PS2 players might just like

:) Notice that Smedley specifically says “games,” plural. Aside from the Everquest games, SOE had the Champions titles on PS2. They were spin-offs of Everquest, an action-RPG using the Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance Engine. With online capabilities, it was possible to play with groups of friends via the internet, although you could play alone as well.

Tecnicamente nemmeno Wild Arms.

Ma first o second party?
In che senso?

H1z1 | F2P-Zombie-MMO-FPS by Sony Online Entertainment | Confermato per PC con probabile versione PS4 a seguire |

Way back in 2009, when the words swine flu brought terror to hypochondriacs across the globe, some clever soul on the Internet decided to pull an elaborate hoax to capitalize on the world’s fear of the H1N1 virus, commonly known as swine flu. Some enterprising individual posted a supposed link to the BBC with a story entitled, “Swine Flu virus, H1N1, mutates into H1Z1″.

Fast forward to 2014 and very little of the fake H1Z1 virus has been said. Nearly everyone knows the hoax, as several machinimas and low-grade films have been made using the virus as a plot device. Now it looks like Sony might be jumping onto that bandwagon, as a recent trademark by Sony Online Entertainment has revealed that H1Z1 is now trademarked by the company, possibly for inclusion in their own brand of zombie horror carrying an “H1Z1″ game title.

If this trademark turns out to be a legitimate attempt at creating a survival horror game, this begs the question whether it will be another zombie romp and stomp like Dead Island, or if Sony will have the gumption to create something a little more challenging, such as DayZ or ZombiU for the Wii U.
