Tatsu l'immortale è un ex yakuza che ha abbandonato la strada della malavita per diventare un uomo onesto. Ma è possibile che anche in questa versione da devoto marito casalingo riesca a cacciarsi comunque in qualche guaio?

Basato sul manga da noi per J-POP, Kouzuke Ono e J.C. Staff produrranno questa trasposizione anime diretta da Chiaki Kon. Il protagonista sarà doppiato da Kenjiro Tsuda.

Hulu Japan announced on Saturday that the live-action series of Kousuke Oono's The Way of the Househusband (Gokushufudō) manga is getting a spinoff original story series that will premiere on the service on November 8. The show, titled 3-nen Tatsu-gumi: Gokushufu-sensei, will reimagine if Tatsu became a substitute home economics teacher while the main home economics teacher was on maternity leave. The show will have 6 episodes.

The main live-action series premiered on NTV on October 11.

NTV unveiled a new special mini-series for the live-action series of Kousuke Oono's The Way of the Househusband (Gokushufudō) manga on Sunday. The three shorts adapt the "Gin no Sanpo" (Gin's Stroll) bonus manga installments published in the back of the main manga's compiled book volumes, and they are streaming on NTV's YouTube channel in Japan. The first episode is already available (but region-locked to Japan only), with the second episode available on Monday, and the third on November 29.

Yuuki Kaji (center in image above) plays Gin, the housecat of Tatsu's family, who has learned how to speak in Kansai dialect and yakuza phrasing from his owners. Hiro Shimono (left) plays Kikugorō, a dog who stumbles into Tatsu's household in the second episode. Tina Tamashiro (right) returns from the live-action series, but as a different character: a cat named Rose that Gin falls in love with in the third episode.

The spinoff commemorates the cat-focused "Ii Nyan Nyan no Hi" day of November 22. November 22 or 11/22 is often called "Good Couple Day" in Japan because the date's numbers can be read as "ii fūfu" or "good couple." They can also be read as "ii n(yan) n(yan)" or "good meow-meow."

Way of the Househusband Anime's Trailer Reveals 2 Cast Members, April 8 Netflix Global Debut

Netflix began streaming an English-subtitled trailer for the anime series of Kousuke Oono's The Way of the Househusband (Gokushufudō) manga on Tuesday. The trailer reveals two new cast members for the anime, as well as its April 8 worldwide debut on Netflix.

Shizuka Itou will play Miku, Tatsu's wife. Kazuyuki Okitsu play Masa, Tatsu's former gang underling. Kenjiro Tsuda play protagonist Tatsu. Tsuda both directed and starred as Tatsu in a live-action promotional video for the manga in December 2019.

Way of the Househusband Anime Part 2's Trailer Reveals October 7 Netflix Debut

Netflix began streaming an English-subtitled trailer for the second part of the anime series of Kousuke Oono's The Way of the Househusband (Gokushufudō) manga on Wednesday. The trailer reveals the second part's October 7 worldwide debut date on Netflix.

Netflix also announced new cast members and the theme song artist for the second part. Tomokazu Sugita joins the cast as Bob, Tatsu's neighbor. Subaru Kimura joins the cast as Gōda, an ex-yakuza turned rapper. Uchikubigokumon-Dōkōkai is performing both the opening theme song "Chef no Michi" (The Way of the Chef), as well as the ending theme song "Gokushufukaidō" (The Highway of the Househusband).

In addition, Netflix also announced that the Gokufūdō (The Way of the Household Tools) live-action series "extra" to the anime will also debut on Netflix in Japan on October 7.
