An official website has opened to announce that a television anime adaptation of the Remaster Edition of Ranjō Miyake's Pet manga has been green-lit. Takahiro Ōmori (Durarara!!) is directing the anime at Geno Studio (Genocidal Organ, Kokkoku) for Twin Engine. Sadayuki Murai (Natsume's Book of Friends) is in charge of the series scripts. Amazon will exclusively stream the anime in Japan and overseas.

'Pet' TV Anime Reveals Cast, Stage Play Adaptation

he official website for the television anime adaptation of the Remaster Edition of Ranjō Miyake's Pet manga revealed the show's cast via a video on Monday.



The anime stars:

• Keisuke Ueda as Hiroki
  
• Kishō Taniyama as Tsukasa
  
• Yuuki Ono as Satoru
  
• Yasuyuki Kase as Hayashi
  

The site also revealed that the anime and manga are inspiring a stage play adaptation. Ueda will reprise his role from the anime as Hiroki.

Other cast members of the stage play include:

'Pet' Anime Reveals Opening Theme Song, January 6 Premiere (Update)

The official website for the television anime adaptation of the Remaster Edition of Ranjō Miyake's Pet manga revealed the opening theme song and broadcast information on Monday. TK from Ling Tosite Sigure will perform the opening theme song "Chō no Tobu Suisō" (The Tank the Butterfly Flies in). The website began streaming a promotional video that previews the song.



The anime will debut on Tokyo MX on January 6 at 10:00 p.m., before airing on BS11 ant AT-X one hour later. Amazon will exclusively stream the anime in Japan and overseas. The first two episodes will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on January 5 at 24:00 (affectively January 6 at 12:00 a.m.). The anime was previously slated to premiere in fall 2019.
