The return of “The Boondocks,” a co-production with Sony Pictures Television, is a complete re-imagining of the beloved and wildly rebellious animated satire for this modern era, and chronicles the adventures of the Freeman family against the evil local government tyrant Uncle Ruckus, who rules fictional Woodcrest County, Maryland with an iron fist 

Hungry Ghost
based on the Dark Horse Graphic Novel by the late Anthony Bourdain and Joel Rose, it will be an anthology of frightening, hilarious, twisted, and culinary-inspired ghost stories. Each episode will range in tone and will look completely different from the last, taking advantage of various forms of animation to best fit each story. 

Superbago!
a collaboration with Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, and previously developed as a feature film at Sony Animation, will be a half-hour comedy that blends Claymation and live-action, and follows the adventures of two dimwitted animated heroes traveling in a very real Winnebago around the actual United States of America.

Sony Pictures Television acquisisce Silvergate Media (Hilda)

[COMUNICATO]


Sony Pictures Television is diving into children’s TV in a big way by buying Silvergate Media – the producer behind global hits “Octonauts,” Netflix’s “Hilda” and the “Peter Rabbit” animated series, for $195 million.

Silvergate will be the first kids’ label in the Sony Pictures Television stable.


Silvergate is currently working on three new seasons of “Octonauts” as well as two spin-off movies, which will be on Netflix internationally, and a musical special, in working are also the second seasons of “Hilda” (an adaptation of the Luke Pearson graphic novels about a girl’s magical and mystical adventures), and “Sunny Day” a series for Nick Jr.
New projects include “Monkey With a Tool Belt,” about a monkey who uses tools to build things and solve problems, and “Creature Cases,” about a group of animal detectives, for Netflix. It also has show for Disney, details of which are under wraps.

hanno effettivamente tagliato la battuta sul non lavarsi le mani :rotfl: :rotfl: #youhearditherefirst

mi è piaciuto parecchio e non me l'aspettavo premessa simile a Next Gen ma esecuzione molto migliore, fuori luogo giusto i robot assassini presi di peso da 3Below, però vabbè alla fine non influenzano troppo il film e servono per dare il siparitto alla madre, che alla fine se lo merita decisamente il personaggio che si sforza di più per tenere unità la famiglia giusto che abbia il suo momento di riscossa

Visto anche io ieri sera, credo di non aver visto un film da tipo fine 2019 e mi ha fatto uno strano effetto

Comunque Mitchells vs the Machines è senza dubbio molto carino, lo ho trovato riuscito sia nell'umorismo che per la storia raccontata e anche abbastanza acuto nel modo in cui ha trattato il tema della tecnologia (per il poco che ha fatto), completamente all'opposto dell'impressione abbastanza negativa che avevo avuto dal primissimo trailer (quando ancora il film si chiamava Connected). Già il trailer nuovo del mese scorso mi aveva convinto a dargli una chance, complici anche la facilità di poterlo vedere tramite Netflix e alcuni profili tweeter che seguo di gente che lavora nel campo dell'animazione che ne hanno fatta molta pubblicità, e non me ne sono pentito.
Magari non è un capolavoro ma mi ha intrattenuto dall'inizio alla fine e non è poco. E poi non potevo non vedere un film d'animazione 3D che avesse finalmente uno stile artistico diverso dal Pixar/Dreamworks like

ah te lo sei visto in lingua originale , si quel momento di over acting di Rick è stato molto lolloso in generale tutto quel montaggio,
a me la gag che ha fatto più lollare è stata quella

anche se telefonatissima() ho trovato un sadico ristoro ad immaginarmi un scena simile accadere realmente

per lo stile dell'animazione l'ho trovato riuscito ma solo perchè a braccetto con il tipo di storia/tono bizzarro normalmente preferisco qualcosa di un pò più pulito anche se stilizzato, unico difetto di spiderverse per me erano tutti quei filtri ed effetti stile occhialetti 3d che andavano e venivano e che sporcavano troppo più che arricchire

visto Wish Dragon
piaciuto davvero molto ma decisamente un film più sobrio del film dei Mitchel ed anche un pò più clichè ma mi sono piaciuti decisamente di più i personaggi, lo confronterei di più con Over the moon che sebbene sia un pò meglio dal punto di vista tecnico perde subito presa quando diventa un fantasy molto superficiale ed abbandona l'ambiente cittadino qui invece ruota tutto attorno al mondo che cambia, non solo per i bambini ma anche gli adulti, infatti ho proprio apprezzato l'inclusione di alcuni personaggi, che riescono ad essere molto efficaci nonostante li vediamo poco, come il padre di Lin e lo scagnozzo tira calci (seriamente non lo nominano mai ) che ok forse è un pò macchiettoso ma dopo quello che fa per tutto il film l'ho trovato quasi meglio che non ci venga data una giustificazione o motivazione, arrivati a quel punto non ce n'era davvero bisogno

anche se continua ad incuriosirmi il fatto di aver scelto come desiderio Re mida, cioè lasciarci con questa strizzata d'occhio ad un folklore occidentale l'ho trovato un pò deludente solo per far passare il messaggio cavolo il tipo

, spettacolare il drago reverse genio della lampada super cinico ma anche estremamente espressivo, ed anche lui come il protagonista ha un arco tutto suo, Lin non me l'aspettavo così maschiaccio nel finale (post terzo atto)

si è completamente liberata del ruolo da ragazza immagine ed è presa anche più degli altri dal nuovo business

comunque adesso capisco il passaggio in sordina in Cina dove è uscito praticamente un anno in anticipo, il film promuove seppur in maniera non troppo fervente un rigetto della modernità in favore di un più quieto e tradizionale vivere

btw curioso per il sequel che sembrerebbe già confermato

da una parte la direzione intrapresa sembra essere il seguire Long ed il prossimo proprietario della teiera, dall'altro mi sembra davvero una scelta bizzarra abbandonare questo cast che pure si è realizzato, ma forse sono viziato dal sequeling () che affligge la maggior parte dei film di animazione
