The official website for the television anime of Toru Toba's The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt (Hey, How About Treason?) (Tensai Ōji no Akaji Kokka Saisei Jutsu - Sō da, Baikoku Shiyō) light novel series began streaming a new teaser promotional video for the anime on Saturday. The teaser reveals the anime's staff and previews the main character Wein's voice.

Makoto Tamagawa (Saint Seiya: Saintia Shō) is directing the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab. Xin Ya Cai is the assistant director. Deko Akao (Noragami, Snow White with the Red Hair, Higehiro) is in charge of the series scripts. Ryūnosuke Ōji is designing the characters. Yoshihiro Tsukashita is the 3D director. Hirotsugu Kakoi is the art director, while Fusako Nakao is the color designer. Toshihiko Sahashi is composing the music.

Mai Hasegawa (editz) is in charge of editing. Natsumi Uchida is the director of photography. Ryousuke Naya is the audio director. Studio Mausu is credited for Audio Production. Yuuma Oogami is credited as the animation producer.

The anime's cast members include Sōma Saitō as Wein, Rie Takahashi as Ninym Ralei, Sayaka Senbongi as Falanya Elk Arbalest, and Nao Tōyama as Lowellmina Earthworld.

Yen Press is publishing the light novels in English, and it describes the story:

The prince of this small and weak kingdom strives for only one thing: selling out his country and living a quiet life in leisure! Sadly, the greatest obstacle he will ever face is his own genius…! As he achieves ever greater accomplishments, he earns more and more favor with the people of his kingdom…which makes fulfilling his own dreams all the harder!!!

SB Creative published the first volume of the novel series in May 2018, and the ninth volume on March 12. Toba writes the novels and Falmaro provides the art. Emuda has been serializing a manga adaptation on Square Enix's Manga Up! website since October 2019.

The official website for the television anime of Tōru Toba's The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt (Hey, How About Treason?) (Tensai Ōji no Akaji Kokka Saisei Jutsu - Sō da, Baikoku Shiyō) light novel series revealed on Thursday that the anime will premiere on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and AT-X in January 2022. To celebrate the news of the television premiere, the site also began streaming the first episode of a monthly net anime short series with a script by original author Toba. The first episode is titled "Festival."

The official website for the television anime of Tōru Toba's The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt (Hey, How About Treason?) (Tensai Ōji no Akaji Kokka Saisei Jutsu - Sō da, Baikoku Shiyō) light novel series posted the first full promotional video and the "1.5th" key visual on Tuesday. The video announces three more cast members, and previews all the cast members announced thus far (except for Yuki Nakashima).

The newly announced cast members are:

• Yōko Hikasa as Fyshe Blundell (top right in image below)
• Yuki Sakakihara as Nanaki Ralei (bottom left)
• Yuki Nakashima as Zeno (bottom right)

Principe scazzato ma competente sale al trono regno medioevale in un setting fittizzio 1

Chiaramente un regno con le pezze al c*lo

Però c'è la segretaria waifu brava in tutto

Devo dire che mi ha fatto delle buone impressioni, cioè non è certo un drama storico ma ha un approccio abbastanza realistico, niente magia o altro, tanti giochi politici.
Tecnicamente è ok, buon chara/ambiente, animazioni pochine con combattimenti piuttosto slideshow ma almeno il disegno è buono.
Lo metto due gradini sopra alla serie simile isekai, buttateci un occhio.

Episodi 2-5

Principe fenomeno sale al trono di regno medioevale disgraziato, mo gli tocca complottare.

Mah, lui è decisamente troppo femoneno e scazzato insieme, e anche troppo belloccio

Le waifu sono un po' pochine ma niente male

Allora, come butta a complotti?
Butta... discretamente, devo dire che la serie è decisamente meno idiota di quanto mi aspettassi, questi complottano sempre e non c'è magia o boiate varie.
Di contorno un po' di amoreggiare con le tipe molto pucce.
Tecnicamente siamo peggiorati, nulla di inguardabile ma animato pochino, azione molto carente.
Non mi convince affatto il look generale dell'ambiente e personaggi, troppo truzzi/colorati per il setting di intrighi di palazzo tagliagole.

Comunque è una serie caruccia, MOLTO migliore di quell'altra simile che pare stia pure riscuotendo un certo successo.

Molto interessante

E di nuovo, che mondo sarebbe senza questi finali che sembrano il secondo episodio, del resto la novel continua

Più o meno inaspettatamente questa serie si è confermata come un discreto successo.
Niente da aggiungere rispetto quanto detto prima, la serie ha mantenuto un buon equilibrio tra intrigo politico e scazzo, niente di particolarmente complesso, niente di particolarmente stupido.
Tecnicamente passabile, buona la patata.
"Finale" condivisibile anche se uno ci si aspetterebbe maggiore progressione almeno sul piano "sentimentale".

Voto 7/10, buona serie "kingdom building".
