Report di RAW

The show opened with Bobby Lashley and MVP and Montel Vontavious Porter hyped up the CHO of The Hurt Business before Big E interrupted and got a laugh from the crowd by bringing up Lashley's many sisters.

Rollins and Owens looked set to leave their other Day 1 opponents lying but Big E and Lashley fought back to end the opening segment standing tall. To the surprise of no one, Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville later appeared and announced Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins would face Big E and Bobby Lashley in a main event tag team match.

In that main event, both teams surprisingly worked well together despite questions being raised about if Big E and Lashley could co-exist. Their partnership broke down in the latter stages of the match, though, as Bobby accidentally Speared the WWE Champion after Seth Rollins Leapfrogged out of the way.

This didn't affect Lashley too much, however, as he managed to block a Stunner attempt from Kevin Owens before he decked him with a Spear for the 1-2-3.

Seth Rollins failed to break up the pin in time but he immediately flattened Lashley with a Stomp after the match. KO and The Architect then proceeded to decimate Lashley and Big E and the former Universal Champions stood tall to end Raw, with the former rivals even sharing a hug as the episode went off the air.

The Raw tag team division lost another team elsewhere on the show as AJ Styles and Omos broke up following a Miz TV segment in which The A-Lister revealed Omos had told him he was sick and tired of carrying Styles. The same AJ Styles who remains one of the best professional wrestlers in the world today. Styles demanded answers from his tag team partner but Rey and Dominik Mysterio interrupted, which led to an impromptu tag team match.

Styles and Omos' alliance then crumbled after the match as The Phenomenal One called his tag team partner a piece of trash, resulting in the brawl between both men. Styles looked to have the upper hand as he went for a Phenomenal Forearm but Omos blocked it and flattened Styles with a Press Slam. Omos then told the fallen Styles they will see each other next week when they go one on one.

The latest chapter in Vince McMahon's push of Austin Theory was also written on Raw but the WWE chairman was less than impressed after Theory failed to defeat Finn Balor because the former EVOLVE Champion spent far too long trying to take a selfie after he decked Balor with a cool looking Spanish Fly. This allowed Finn to fight back and he picked up the win with the Coup de Grace.

Edge also appeared on Cutting Edge with Maryse ahead of his Day 1 match with The Miz. The Rated-R Superstar saw right through the fake tension in Miz and Maryse's marriage after the events of last week and Edge initially avoided a sneak attack from Miz before Maryse attacked him from behind. This allowed Miz to drop his Day 1 opponent with a Skull Crushing Finale as the happy couple celebrated ahead of the pay-per-view.

Elsewhere on Raw, Bianca Belair defeated Doudrop to seemingly end their feud, Randy Orton pinned Chad Gable but The Viper failed to RKO Otis after the match, Rhea Ripley picked up a win over Queen Zelina since Nikki A.S.H wasn't there to get in the way, Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan had a promo segment to hype up their Day 1 match, and a United States Title match was set for next week after Dolph Ziggler defeated Damian Priest by count-out. Both men fought back and forth for much of the short match but Priest snapped after Robert Roode attacked him on the outside while the official wasn't looking. Priest couldn't hold back his anger following the attack and he beat down Roode until the referee counted him out, handing Priest his first singles loss since he moved to the main roster in February.

Check out the full results from Raw below:

  • Bianca Belair def. Doudrop
  • Finn Balor def. Austin Theory
  • The Mysterios def. AJ Styles & Omos
  • Randy Orton def. Chad Gable
  • Dolph Ziggler def. Damian Priest by Count-Out
  • Rhea Ripley def. Queen Zelina
  • Big E & Bobby Lashley def. Kevin Owens & Seth Rollins

Sono contento che Danielson abbia dato ad Adam Page un ottimo incontro per il titolo, al contrario del pagliaccio riccioluto.
Ça va sans dire, Brian è spanne sopra Harpo.

Dynamite Report

The biggest talking point of the night came as Adam Cole finally revealed his ‘present’ for Orange Cassidy - Kyle O’Reilly. O’Reilly made his AEW debut at the tail end of a fine Dynamite opener between Cole and Cassidy, after The Young Bucks and Best Friends brawled to the back, Bobby Fish appeared to distract the ref, allowing his former reDRagon team-mate to arrive, beat up OC, then get out the way as Cole nailed the BOOM for the win.

Post-match Cole and O’Reilly looked like they were about to come to blows, but reverted to their Future Shock days as they beat up Best Friends, before the three former Undisputed Era team-mates posed together in the ring, as Matt and Nick Jackson looked puzzled by what was building before their very eyes.

After the events of last week’s incredible 60-minute draw between AEW World Champion Hangman Page and Bryan Danielson, Page came out to express his disappointment at not sealing the win in his inaugural title defence only to be greeting by a condescending Danielson. The two traded barbs as Danielson revealed that not only are they scheduled for a rematch on January 5.

We have our first finalist in the TBS Championship Tournament as Ruby Soho overcame Nyla Rose. ‘The Native Beast’ dominated large portions of the match, and after fighting out of a dragon sleeper looked to have things sewn up with The Beast Bomb, but Ruby kicked out, before hitting a No Future out of nowhere for the three.

And in the main event, CM Punk lived out every wrestler’s fantasy as he cosplayed as surfer Sting when he teamed with ‘The Icon’ and Darby Allin against MJFTR in trios action. Things nearly went pear-shaped for MJF though as he took a scary landing from a hip toss over the top, but recovered in time to eat a huge crossbody from the Stinger, before CM Punk got the pin on Dax Harwood after a GTS, Scorpion Death Drop and Coffin Drop, Harwood taking a bullet for MJF in doing so.

Full results:

  • Adam Cole def. Orange Cassidy
  • Wardlow def. Shawn Dean
  • Ruby Soho def. Nyla Rose - TBS Championship Tournament Semi-Final
  • Malakai Black def. Griff Garrison
  • CM Punk, Sting, & Darby Allin def. MJFTR (MJF, Cash Wheeler, & Dax Harwood)

RAW Recap

The show opened as Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro continued their mini-feud with the Alpha Academy. Riddle was able to put away Chad Gable in singles action before Randy Orton finally RKOed Otis, claiming a win in their match as well.

Backstage segments with Kevin Owens and Nikki A.S.H were followed by a tag-team match between Reggie & Dana Brooke and R-Truth & Tamina, with Reggie pinning Truth for the win. Another tag-team bout followed as the much-anticipated RK-Bro-Nament Finals saw the Street Profits defeat Rey & Dominik Mysterio to earn a shot at the Raw Tag Team Championships.

At this time, NXT 2.0 star Grayson Waller would make his presence known, getting into a verbal exchange with AJ Styles - much like on last week's NXT. The two would go back-and-forth before Styles faces Apollo Crews, defeating the former United States Champion.

Seth Rollins cut a short promo, filmed from his home, before Kevin Owens came to the ring for a promo segment. This in turn led to a match with Cedric Alexander, which KO won.

The final match of the evening saw Damian Priest defend the United States Title against Dolph Ziggler. Much like their bout last week, this ended in a disqualification.

The show closed with The Miz and Maryse renewing their wedding vows. Officiated by the returning Eric Bischoff, the segment came to an end as Edge appeared and gave the A-List couple a 'Brood Bath' in the ring.

Full results from the show can be found below:

  • Riddle def. Chad Gable
  • Randy Orton def. Otis
  • Reggie & Dana Brooke def. R-Truth & Tamina
  • The Street Profits def. Rey & Dominik Mysterio - Raw Tag Team Title Number One Contenders Match
  • AJ Styles def. Apollo Crews
  • Kevin Owens def. Cedric Alexander
  • Dolph Ziggler def. Damian Priest via DQ - United States Championship Match
