The show opened with Bobby Lashley and MVP and Montel Vontavious Porter hyped up the CHO of The Hurt Business before Big E interrupted and got a laugh from the crowd by bringing up Lashley's many sisters.
Rollins and Owens looked set to leave their other Day 1 opponents lying but Big E and Lashley fought back to end the opening segment standing tall. To the surprise of no one, Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville later appeared and announced Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins would face Big E and Bobby Lashley in a main event tag team match.
In that main event, both teams surprisingly worked well together despite questions being raised about if Big E and Lashley could co-exist. Their partnership broke down in the latter stages of the match, though, as Bobby accidentally Speared the WWE Champion after Seth Rollins Leapfrogged out of the way.
This didn't affect Lashley too much, however, as he managed to block a Stunner attempt from Kevin Owens before he decked him with a Spear for the 1-2-3.
Seth Rollins failed to break up the pin in time but he immediately flattened Lashley with a Stomp after the match. KO and The Architect then proceeded to decimate Lashley and Big E and the former Universal Champions stood tall to end Raw, with the former rivals even sharing a hug as the episode went off the air.
The Raw tag team division lost another team elsewhere on the show as AJ Styles and Omos broke up following a Miz TV segment in which The A-Lister revealed Omos had told him he was sick and tired of carrying Styles. The same AJ Styles who remains one of the best professional wrestlers in the world today. Styles demanded answers from his tag team partner but Rey and Dominik Mysterio interrupted, which led to an impromptu tag team match.
Styles and Omos' alliance then crumbled after the match as The Phenomenal One called his tag team partner a piece of trash, resulting in the brawl between both men. Styles looked to have the upper hand as he went for a Phenomenal Forearm but Omos blocked it and flattened Styles with a Press Slam. Omos then told the fallen Styles they will see each other next week when they go one on one.
The latest chapter in Vince McMahon's push of Austin Theory was also written on Raw but the WWE chairman was less than impressed after Theory failed to defeat Finn Balor because the former EVOLVE Champion spent far too long trying to take a selfie after he decked Balor with a cool looking Spanish Fly. This allowed Finn to fight back and he picked up the win with the Coup de Grace.
Edge also appeared on Cutting Edge with Maryse ahead of his Day 1 match with The Miz. The Rated-R Superstar saw right through the fake tension in Miz and Maryse's marriage after the events of last week and Edge initially avoided a sneak attack from Miz before Maryse attacked him from behind. This allowed Miz to drop his Day 1 opponent with a Skull Crushing Finale as the happy couple celebrated ahead of the pay-per-view.
Elsewhere on Raw, Bianca Belair defeated Doudrop to seemingly end their feud, Randy Orton pinned Chad Gable but The Viper failed to RKO Otis after the match, Rhea Ripley picked up a win over Queen Zelina since Nikki A.S.H wasn't there to get in the way, Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan had a promo segment to hype up their Day 1 match, and a United States Title match was set for next week after Dolph Ziggler defeated Damian Priest by count-out. Both men fought back and forth for much of the short match but Priest snapped after Robert Roode attacked him on the outside while the official wasn't looking. Priest couldn't hold back his anger following the attack and he beat down Roode until the referee counted him out, handing Priest his first singles loss since he moved to the main roster in February.
