Frostpunk is a brand-new title from the creators of This War of Mine. It’s a society survival game that asks what people are capable of when pushed to the brink of extinction. In an entirely frozen world, people develop steam-powered technology to oppose the overwhelming cold. The city’s ruler has to manage both the citizens and the infrastructure they live in. The leader’s tactical skills face challenges that will frequently question morality and the basic foundations of what we consider organized society. Optimization and resource management often clash with empathy and thoughtful decision-making. While city and society management will consume most of the ruler’s time, at some point exploration of the outside world is necessary to understand its history and present state.What decisions will you make to ensure the survival of your society? What will you do when pushed to the limit? Nuovo titolo degli 11bs, cambiano genere rispetto al survival di un gruppo ristretto di persone ad un "survival" di una intera città da costruire. Ho giocato qualche oretta a TWoM (ho intenzione di fare una run completa), e penso che anche questo titolo non sarà particolarmente "semplice" da giocare per le diverse implicazioni, scelte che si possono compiere oltre al fardello psicologico che noi giocatori dovremmo portare.

La curiosità rimane molto alta

Ah, non sapevo se inserirlo in sezione indie od in quella generale, nel caso spostate pure

Sul sito ci sono anche alcuni screenshot e questa volta son passati al 3d con classica visuale a vol d'uccello tipica degli rts/gestionali.

L'ambientazione ricorda un po' Mad Max, ma in mezzo ai ghiacci. Devo recuperare ancora TWoM, ma anche questo titolo sembra parecchio interessante.

Starà facendo tanto successo ma non è facilissimo ignorare la prima recensione negativa che è su steam appena si apre la pagina del gioco, backuppata tral'altro da ben 255 persone. Il tizio argomenta molto bene le sue ragioni e sembra abbastanza convincente. C'è un po' un alone di mistero su questo gioco ed è per questo che ancora non mi sono spinto a prenderlo. Tanti parlano di poca rigiocabilità e l'assenza di una modalità endless che permetterebbe di portare avanti un gioco che allo stato attuale ha una durata davvero risibile.

Se qualcuno di voi l'ha preso e giocato sarebbe interessante sapere un punto di vista riguardo queste dichiarazioni.

La rigiocabilità sta a zero.

Non è un sandbox, è un passabile city building con scenari ben definiti di precisi eventi/ostacoli in un determinato ordine, in cui devi prepararti/reagire in un determinato modo.

Ma è un gioco da una dozzina di ore.

Non so quanto sia possibile una modalità endless visto che ci sono evidenti limiti nel gameplay e una carenza di ottimizzazione generale. (oltre ad un certo numero la popolazione è inutile, è difficile gestirla in macro e spesso devi andare a selezionare i tizi individualmente)

Onestamente fa piuttosto cacare per il suo prezzo, è più un gioco usa e getta da 4.90.

Non offre assolutamente niente di nuovo e quel che offre non è niente di che, molta delusione.
