Ho deciso, ai prossimi saldi sarà mio (probabilmente prenderò tutti e 3 se rimettono il pacchetto sui 25€). Nonostante il 2 sia quello più apprezzato dalla community, io ho sempre preferito il 3 a livello di gameplay. C'è da dire che all'epoca non amavo l'ambientazione medievale (si, ero un giovane stolto), cosa che invece adoro adesso, per cui potrei anche cambiare opinione.

c'erano anche gli Stronghold in sconto. Il primo (in versione HD) era a poco pià di 1€. Non avendoli mai giocati vorrei recuperarli appena possibile. Da quel poco di gameplay che ho visto potrebbero piacermi parecchio.

New Patch Available For Multiplayer Service On Age of Empires III: Complete Collection

Effective September 1, 2021, the multiplayer service for the 2007 version of Age of Empires III: Complete Collection currently on Steam will no longer function. The critical factor driving this change is that the ESO domain on which this multiplayer service currently resides is no longer under Microsoft’s control and it will be repurposed by its new owners on that date.

To continue accessing the multiplayer services: We have created a patch that points to a new backend owned by Microsoft that you must manually install prior to September 1, 2021. Due to the age of the title, we have no way to automatically apply the patch for you and you will have to come to our website download linked below to apply the patch manually. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The AgeIIIESOPatch_Full will allow you to access multiplayer services without routing through the deprecated ESO service. It is important to install the patch for additional stability and reliability in the multiplayer environment and avoid issues accessing multiplayer matches. Download and install the patch manually using


Installation Steps:

Download AgeIIIESOPatch_Full and then run the application.
Click Patch Game File in the Age of Empires III Patcher window that opens.
Click Open to start the installation in the default Age of Empires 3 folder.
If Age of Empires III is not installed in the default location, navigate to the folder where age3.exe is saved.
Age of Empires III Patcher will show that the game is patched.
When Age of Empires III is opened again, a User Account Control prompt for age3.exe will appear.
Click Yes to start the game.

E' un peccato che il IV non abbia mantenuto lo stesso stile grafico. Nonostante gli anni io continuo a preferire questo rispetto a quanto visto nel nuovo capitolo.
 
 
Io lo sto giocando ultimamente e devo dire che l'ho rivalutato.
Prima ero uno di quelli che amava solo il 2 e snobbava questo solo perchè molto diverso, ma devo dire che la diversità è un pregio in questo caso.
La possibilità di creare la tua strategia con il mazzo, le tante unità, il periodo storico, le basi commerciali, ecc... sono tutte cose che aggiungono molto al gioco.
Forse c'è un eccesso di complessità, che poi si traduce in difficili letture della partita. In questo il 2 è molto più lineare e prevedibile, idem il primo e probabilmente il 4, almeno stando alla beta.

While there are plenty of notable fixes and features to which to look forward in today’s build, here are some of the big highlights coming with this month’s update:

Everyone can unlock a new Honey Badger cheat
Owners of The African Royals can unlock a skin for their Hausa & Ethiopian Explorer
Indian and Japanese Home Cities upgraded to have customization

Secondo quanto ho letto a livello dei test fatti dalla community sulla versione beta disponibile nella PUPP, questo update aggiunge il multi-threading che dovrebbe migliorare non di poco le performance.

Unito alla possibilità di riconnettersi alle partite multiplayer desincronizzate (una delle cose più richieste e mancanze più sentite in TUTTI i giochi di AoE), questo è probabilmente uno degli update più notevoli visti per il gioco!

Ora spero solo che pensino di mettere queste due cose anche per AoE2 (e l'1) però, se possibile :asd:
 
Hanno annunciato una nuova civiltà, ma ancora non si sa quale.
 
Manco uscita la nuova espansione che già annunciano una nuova civiltà? Lo stanno supportando alla grande. Ottima notizia.

Eh si, l'1 basta ridurre lo zoom ed il framerate crolla...
