The next chapter in the Alien: Isolation series, Alien: Isolation 2 will bring players face-to-face once more with cinema’s deadliest killer: Alien’s Xenomorph. With a brand-new setting, story and protagonist, players will embrace a whole new adventure, while experiencing the same deadly tension which established the original game as the ultimate survival-horror experience.

On a remote, storm-ravaged colony-world, players will endure the elements as they navigate the planet’s surface, and explore the claustrophobic confines of the Weyland-Yutani outpost of Kurosaki Station. It’s a new hunting-ground for the Alien, forcing players to improvise and develop new tools, techniques and tactics to survive the deadly game of cat-and-mouse.

IGN:
And while Isolation 2's demo is perhaps the most simple, streamlined example of that experience – stripped of all player agency-granting gadgets and tightly controlled for its duration – it's as good a reminder as any that it is the definitive simulation of sci-fi's most terrifying scenario. To do it all over again, even with minimal adjustments to the formula, is something worth trying.

It's unsurprising that this short demo was able to so successfully capture the spirit of the original – Alien: Isolation 2 is, after all, helmed by the same director, built by many of the same people, and its prologue specifically designed as a bridge between the two projects. And so it's convinced me that it's at least in the right hands. But I'm now more eager than ever to see how this against-the-odds sequel will build upon its predecessor.

The Outerhaven:
Creative Assembly, even after all these years, has managed not only to recreate the experience that made Alien: Isolation so good, but also improve on it. That feeling of dread and helplessness was still there, and that was apparent even after only playing a very small slice of the game.

I cannot wait for the full game to be released in 2027 so I can get scared and frustrated all over again.

Kotaku:
The fact that one of the same aliens that mercilessly hunted players in the original Isolation returns in the sequel feels like a pretty succinct symbol for what Isolation 2 does well. It brings back the same claustrophobic game of hide-and-seek coupled with a constant state of powerlessness, and it refuses to let its monster fall into predictable patterns so you can try to memorize which corners it will turn and which rooms it will wander through. What I played of Alien: Isolation 2 indicated that it's a relentless horror game that refuses to let you get comfortable as you crouch behind anything that might, for even a second, obscure you from the creature's line of sight. It's a constant game of trial and error in which the odds are stacked against you because you can't kill this monster, but it only has to catch the slightest whiff of you to bite your head off.

If you've been longing to return to Alien: Isolation's brand of unforgiving cat and mouse, I'm pretty sure the sequel will give you what you've been looking for when it comes to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Gamesradar:
But, Alien: Isolation 2 doesn't seem interested in our self-pity. I like that. All my favorite horror games, including Silent Hill 3 and Haunting Ground, challenge their female protagonists and often female fans in choosing life, even when unspoken trauma, unspeakable harm, and starving monsters forecast clouds and hellfire for the rest of time.

Ci sta, era in early development ne 2024, semplicemente il titolo del topic non era stato aggiornato :sisi:
