PS4 & Xbox One Remaster of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons May Get a Physical Release

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was a cracking little game when it released back on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC and we’ll be reliving the story of the two brothers on the Xbox One and PC later this year.
Not too long ago we reported that the game had been rated for the next-gen systems as the publisher looks to make use of its recent purchase of the intellectual property. We all assumed it’d be a downloadable title just as it was on the PS3 and Xbox 360, but now it looks like we’ll be getting a physical copy to add to the shelf.

Online retailer NewEgg has the game listed for both consoles along with a release date of August 25th for a physical release. It’s a bit of a surprise to be honest – does it really need a physical release? Well, our buckling hard-drives say “yes.”

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons coming to PS4, Xbox One this summer

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this summer, and to iOS, Android, and Windows Phones this holiday season, 505 Games has announced.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will have additional director’s commentary, soundtrack, and concept art gallery content.

While not announced in today’s press release, Newegg listings suggest the new versions will see a $19.99 retail release.

Here’s 505’s description of the game:

Developed by Starbreeze Studios and directed by filmmaker Josef Fares, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a breathtaking tale of two siblings, desperate to save a father on the brink of death. They are left with only one option: set out on a journey to find and retrieve an elixir that can cure his terminal illness. Throughout their expedition they come to rely on one another to survive. One must be strong when the other is weak, one must be brave, when the other is fearful, supporting each other throughout their voyage. Players must master a unique control system to guide both brothers simultaneously across these perilous lands.

A wholly immersive experience, Brothers is an epic story told without words, set in an ever changing world, ranging from craggy mountain peaks to the musty depths of underground caverns. This unique mythical world, which draws inspiration from Nordic cultures and archaeology, is in a state of transition between the old and the new ways.

505 Games ha confermato oggi che il titolo Brothers – A Tale of Two Sons arriverà su PlayStation 4 e Xbox One il 12 Agosto in versione digital download e che a questa seguirà il 4 settembre una versione pacchettizzata.

Direi di no visto che il gioco non contiene dialoghi se non in una lunga del tutto inventata e che il gioco è tradotto nei menu, appunto l'unica testo del gioco alla fine :morristend:

Si e fai la cosa migliore. È la classica esperienza da godersi tutta d'un fiato.

E così è stato, credo di aver consumato il tasto f12 di steam a furia di fare screenshot dei bellissimi scorci del gioco. Il gameplay è molto particolare ma non mi ha divertito troppo, ed in generale a tutto il gioco manca qualcosa per renderlo una vera perla. E' comunque stata una bella esperienza, voto 8 pieno.
