Switch has sold a total of 3.3 million Switch units in France. That’s according to Nintendo France’s general manager Philippe Lavoué, who revealed the news in an interview with Le Figaro.

In 2019, 1.25 million Switch consoles were sold in France, up from 1.1 million in 2018. Switch Lite was the third best-selling console of 2019, ahead of the Xbox One. The dedicated handheld is said to have its primary audience with young adults. However, some original Switch users purchased the Lite as an additional device. Most of Switch’s sales during Christmas were for the standard model rather than the Lite.

Here’s some additional information shared by Lavoué:

– 11 percent of households in France have a Switch
– 30 percent of users are women
– One in two video games purchased in France in physical format is a Nintendo game
– Eight of the ten best-selling games in France last year were on Switch
– Pokemon Sword/Shield sold 650,000 copies in 2019
– Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold 502,000 copies in 2019
– Luigi’s Mansion 3 sold 392,000 copies in 2019
– Ring Fit Adventure sold 120,000 copies in 2019
– Nintendo experiencing stock issues with Ring Fit Adventure
– Stock should be replenished in February, and Nintendo will have more ads going
– Seven of Nintendo’s thirteen best-selling games of 2019 released in 2017/2018

Penso comunque che 5 milioni Switch possa farli quest'anno in Jap, con il software adatto

Intanto il Q1 (anno solare) è già più forte dello scorso come uscite, dunque dovrebbe iniziare bene

Uhm, son piuttosto sicuro che quei dati del 2014 siano sballati. Non mi pare verosimile che PS4 abbia peakato così presto e che Wii U abbia fatto così poco proprio l'anno in cui ha avuto Mario Kart e Smash per poi quasi quintuplicarsi in quello dopo   

Anche il 3DS non può essere così basso per quell'anno
