Secondo le ultime cifre pubblicate dall'istituto iSuppli, Nintendo ha superato Sony nelle vendite di giochi. Nel terzo trimestre del 2007, Nintendo ha venduto videogame per il valore di 1.24 miliardi di dollari (858 milioni di euro), ripartiti tra 777.7 milioni per DS e 461.8 milioni per Wii, mentre le vendite totali di titoli PS3, PS2 e PSP hanno raggiunto "solo" 1 miliardo di dollari (692 milioni di euro). Secondo la compagnia, Microsoft rimane ancora molto indietro, con vendite pari a 317.8 milioni di dollari (220 milioni di euro) nello stesso periodo.
