Battletoads (Arcade)

The arcade version's second mission originally revolved around rescuing Santa Claus from Admiral Oink, a character not present in the final game (barring a cameo as a portrait in the penultimate stage), who would impersonate him. This version of the level was showcased in magazines leading up to the game's release, but it was ultimately replaced, with the second boss instead being Karnath (who in turn was originally the boss of the game's fourth stage). Despite the mission's overhaul, graphics for Admiral Oink and Santa, as well as sprites for Scammies where they tear open gifts, remain in the game's code. Additionally, Admiral Oink's boss room is present as well; however, its graphics are heavily corrupted, with the magazine screenshots providing the only hints as to what the area was supposed to look like.

Metroid Fusion

Due to a glitch, Samus' left wall jump sprites in-game do not have her left arm. This is due to a rendering error, as internally these sprites do have her left arm. This does not happen with her right wall jump sprites.

Not match

The Aragami you fight are named after mythological deities, though their monstrous designs rarely match. For example, the infamous Chi You takes the form of a bird, while Susano-o appears as a giant scorpion.

Art of Fighting 2

Concept art shows that Yuri Sakazaki originally had a trio of friends designed in order to help flesh out her character, which consisted of a part-time model, a student, and a 10 year old girl who views Yuri as a big sister of sorts. None of them appear in the game, with the idea being dropped during development.

Redisign

The game is famous for introducing a newly redesigned, tall, teenage Tiny Kong. Contrary to popular belief, this was mandated by Nintendo, who retained full creative control over the Donkey Kong intellectual property after Microsoft's 2002 buyout of Rare

Prince of Persia

The game's developer, Jordan Mechner, wanted the prince's movements be as fluent and life like as possible. To do this, he video taped his brother, David, going through the prince's motions and rotoscoped each frame into the game.

The unique online co-op mechanics were inspired by an encounter (director) Miyazaki had. On his way to work one morning, it was snowing heavily, and cars were getting stuck up a hill. Miyazaki and several others helped by pushing any stuck cars up and over, until eventually, it was Miyazaki's car to go over. Miyazaki wanted to thank everyone who helped, but there were more cars to push over, he didn't want to hold up the line. Miyazaki stated this experience stuck with him, which was the direct inspiration for how co-op worked, where random strangers would help, then vanish, to seemingly never be seen again.

To cut budgets, the localized versions of Ken's Rage 2 contained Japanese voice tracks exclusively, foregoing the English dub that was present in the first game.

Ed entrambi hanno ucciso i loro franchise

When Dead Space 3 and Lost Planet 3 were first announced, gaming communities joked that they had traded franchises. Dead Space 3 was originally meant to be a straight action game on a snowy planet, while Lost Planet 3 started as a claustrophobic horror experience

F-Zero GX

A large scale replica of Nintendo's "Robotic Operating Buddy", or "ROB" for short, can be seen in the Port Town location. You can see him most clearly on the Aero Dive course.
