Jump this week introduces a new character set to appear in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. Eater, designed by Ito Ogure, is a glitch within cyberspace that appeares without warning one day, consuming the data of humans and Digimon alike indiscriminately should they get too close to it.

Another character, the ambiguously dubbed “Mysterious Boy,” is also showcased in the magazine. Sporting a white wardrobe, rumors circulating within the game contend that he’s a spirit and that anyone who meets him will be unable to return to the real world. Details beyond that are sparse, save for the fact that the protagonist will, in fact, bump into him at some point while dungeon crawling.

A handful of details have also been divulged pertaining to the game’s battle system. Utilizing a system dubbed “Active Turn Battles,” combat in the game is described to revolve around the ability to shift turn orders for Digimon, which is dependent on variables such as their speed and the techniques used. Combo attacks are also written to play a part in the game, which can be triggered upon attaining sufficiently bonding with a Digimon.

Nuovo video di Kingdom Under Fire II, free to play per PC e PS4.

Primo trailer di Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth per PSV.

Siliconera fa brevemente il punto della situazione su Kingdom Under Fire II (PC/PS4), per chi fosse interessato a sapere di cosa si tratti.

Online RPG/Real-Time Strategy game Kingdom Under Fire II is finally beginning to see the light of day. It’s got its open beta on PC in Asia (in English), and has also been announced as a free-to-play title for Sony’s PlayStation 4.

But really, what’s this game by developer Blueside all about? And why did it take it almost six years (the game was announced in 2008) to arrive? The gist of it is that on the surface, Kingdom Under Fire II is like any other massively multiplayer online RPG you’ve played. : Pick a character, such as the Berzerker, Gunslinger or Spellsword, go forth and smack stuff in the face till it falls over.

But that’s only on the surface. The twist here is that Kingdoms Under Fire II introduces AI armies into the mix—some of them controlled by you. You can send them to attack, defend or move into areas and automatically engage anything standing. This is done from a top-down, zoomed-out perspective.

You’ll be able to train your battalions and then level them up into bigger, badder, better guys, with their own skills and abilities to boot. They still aren’t as badass as you though. You take these guys into certain fights, such as Invasion Mode’s (which you can see here) 16 players co-op, and player-versus-player fights. Think Dynasty Warriors in an online setting and you’re getting there.

If you’re interested, the English PC version of Kingdom Under Fire II is out in open beta now in Asia, and the full game will be coming to PlayStation 4 sometime in the next year or so.

Due nuovi screenshot di Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth per PSV.

Sono i digimon Aguman e Gabuman.

The protagonist meets Aguman and Gabuman in the lowest levels of Cyberspace. Aguman is a little dinosaur-looking creature without an inch of fear in his body, whereas the semi-furred Gabuman is a cowardly and shy type. Together, they help cast away doubts as to the nature of Hackers and bear secrets deep within them that could prove pivotal to the protagonist’s greater fate.

Nuove info su Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth per PSV.

Bandai Namco has released new screenshots and details on Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth following the game’s recent weeks of magazine coverage.

Protagonist (Female)

The heroine, curious after hearing rumors of hackers in the streets. One day, she receives a Digimon capture device known as the “Digimon Capture” from someone she met in an online chat room, and travels to the lowest layer of cyberspace to gauge the rumor. But because of a sudden malfunction in the system, part of his mental data is corrupted, resulting in her body becoming a half-digitized “Data Body.” At the same time, data from cyberspace has begun materializing in the real world, and a strange phenomenon begins.

Nokia Shiramine

A young girl who establishes an emotional bond with the Digimon she meets. Her motto is “Become what you become.” And while she might seem like she’s down, she’s generally quite positive. She puts on a tough front, but is actually easily scared. But even though she’s afraid of the ‘ghost boy’ rumored in cyberspace lately, her interest in Digimon brings her to its lowest layer.

Arata Sanada

A former big name hacker and a big brother among his peers. Like Nokia, Arata is a young man the protagonist meets during an online chat. He has a carefree behavior and often speaks in riddles. His big brother-ness comes from his looking after the younger protagonists. Though he was a big time hacker in the past, he doesn’t speak much about it.

Lowest Layer of Cyberspace

In the lowest layer of cyberspace, various data is discarded and gathered, like a cesspool of garbage. A mysterious person the protagonist meets in an online chat calls him/her, Nokia, and Arata here, but…

Digimon Capture

In Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, players can travel with a number of Digimon alongside them. You’ll be able to collect various Digimon and aim to become to strongest hacker.

As you explore dungeons, you’ll encounter other Digimon to battle, either wandering about on their own or controlled by enemy hackers.

When a battle starts, the Digimon Capture device automatically begins by scanning and collecting the data of the enemy Digimon. You can scan a lot of data from weak Digimon all at once, but stronger Digimon need to be scanned many times.

Once you’ve gathered 100 percent of a Digimon’s data, which you’ll accumulate each time you encounter the same Digimon, you can then convert the Digimon into an ally. Training your Digimon will digivolve them into stronger Digimon, such as Gabumon to Garurumon. A Digimon will digivolve based on its level and ability scores.
