Si vedono i due protagonisti (maschio/femmina) e si vengono a sapere i primi dettagli.

Mi piacevano di più i due main del primo, ma anche questi son carini.

Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be subtitled “The God of Destruction Malroth and the Vacant Island” in Japan, the latest issue of Weekly Jump reveals. Its release date and price are still to be announced.
A blurb in the magazine notes that “God of Destruction Malroth” is the name of the evil god that appeared in Dragon Quest II. Regarding whether or not there is a connection, the magazine teases, “Look forward to future reports!”

Weekly Jump also reveals the backstory and Akira Toriyama-illustrated character designs for the male and female protagonists. The protagonist is the descendant of the legendary builder that once saved the world. He or she has the same power to build things as their ancestor, but is still inexperienced. While relying on their “Builder’s Book,” their goal is to become a full-fledged builder.

The game itself is set on “Vacant Island,” a huge, unpopulated island without houses or towns where the protagonist washes ashore, and where they will adventure and build things to create a bustling island. However, on this island where there appears to be nothing, what looks to be a man-made temple can be seen in the mountains.

Dragon Quest Builders is a block-make RPG where you can enjoy simultaneously going on a grand adventure to save the world and sandbox-esque crafting. Bandai Namco e Square Enix hanno stretto un accordo per realizzare un progetto in realtà virtuale a tema Dragon Quest a Tokyo, nel settore VR dell'amusement space di Shinjuku, a partire dal 27 aprile.

In Dragon Quest VR, the player will form a party as a Warrior, Priest, or Mage, equip a sword, shield, or staff developed specifically for the game, and venture out to the world of Dragon Quest before eventually facing off against the final boss Zoma.
An opening event, where attendees can be the first to experience Dragon Quest VR by way of a random drawing, will be held on April 25. The official website will be updated on April 20 with information on how to make a reservation and other details.

Hokuto Okamoto, produttore di Dragon Quest XI: Echi di un'Era Perduta, ha fatto un paio di dichiarazioni su twitter.

La cosa più interessante che dice è che il gioco gira su una versione migliorata del motore della versione JP, e definisce quindi la release occidentale più vicina a un remaster che a un aggiornamento.

Producer Hokuto Okamoto took to Twitter to clarify a few relevant points for the fans. He mentioned that for those who would consider purchasing the English version, the version of the engine used is different, so he considers it “closer to a remaster than to an update.” Unfortunately implementing those changes on the Japanese version would require a lot of time and is not realistic in terms of costs.
Incidentally, the Steam version is not planned for release in Japan, and the audio will be only in English. The language of the text will change automatically depending on the language settings of the PS4. If the language in the PS4 is not included in the localization, English will be selected by default. Japanese text won’t be included, and only English, French, Italian, German, Spanish will be available for subtitles and menus.

The latest issue of Weekly Jump has new information on Dragon Quest Builders 2, introducing more information on the game’s story and evolved adventure elements. When the protagonist who washes ashore the game’s “Vacant Island” setting begins exploring, they hear a mysterious voice, which tells them to head to the top of the island’s mountain. There, they discover a mysterious stone monument. The protagonist also discovers that there are stone pillars all over the island, which are engraved with “trials” they must pass. According to the voice, overcoming these trials is the path to the protagonist becoming a Master Builder. There are five marks engraved onto the stone monument at the top of the mountain. You can see these crests by closely examining the stone monument. As for what significance these crests carry, that has yet to be revealed. The game’s evolved adventure elements include swimming underwater, gliding with the wind mantle, waterfalls, making diagonally-shaped blocks, and high-speed movement through dashing. Dragon Quest Builders 2 is in development for PlayStation 4 and Switch. A release date has yet to be announced.
