Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age: Definitive Edition will launch for Switch worldwide this fall, Square Enix announced. It will be published by Nintendo in the west and Square Enix in Japan.

Ready for a grand adventure filled with memorable characters, an enchanting story and classic RPG gameplay that can be taken on the go? This definitive version of the critically acclaimed game features the same sprawling content of the original, but with newly added character-specific stories, fully orchestrated field and battle music, and the ability to switch between not only between HD and retro-inspired 16-bit visuals, but also Japanese and English voice track.





Here is the Square Enix Japan’s overview of today’s newly revealed features:


  • Switch Between 2D and 3D Graphics – Choose between playing with nostalgic pixelated 2D graphics and beautiful 3D graphics.
  • Orchestra Music Added – Switch between the newly added orchestra music and the existing synthesizer music.
  • New Stories Added – New stories have been added where each character becomes the protagonist and sets off on an adventure.




Square Enix Japan also announced it will host a “Dragon Quest XI S Channel: New Information Review & Voice Cast Announcement Feature #2″ live stream on March 27 at 21:00 JST where it will go over today’s newly revealed details and announce the latest round of voice actors.

Tsuriru Island

Your fishing journey begins on Tsuriru Island, where you can clear quests, fish, and build aquariums. (You can go to Tsuriru Island after bringing the chicken to Vacant Island by accepting and clearing the request “Let’s Build a Water Path” from Lulu, then reading a certain letter that arrives at the post.)

Build an Aquarium

The fish you catch in various locations can be released in the water, and new blocks capable of building an aquarium will appear. Island inhabitants will also fish.

Marine Look

By clearing a quest on Tsuriru Island, you can change your appearance to a more marine-like look.

New Materials Island: Bukubuku Island

By clearing the main story scenario, as well as the quests of Tsuriru Island, you will be able to go to the new Materials Island, Bukubuku Island.

It seems that rare marine life can be caught there… (Infinite material acquisition check events do not occur here.)

■ March 28 Update (Separate from Add-On)

  • Increased the maximum number of residents on Vacant Island’s reclaimed land to 60 people.
  • Use Builder Hearts to obtain items.
  • Added setting entries for glass and water, including water transparency (dark, regular, light) and glass positioning (with or without).
  • When you eat specific items, you can move more easily underwater.
  • Several “Reclamation Recipe” requirements have been made easier.
  • You can go to Reclamation Island in multiplayer.
  • Sardines have become crucian carps.
  • Bug fixes.

Non credo l'abbiano detto.

Comunque la vedo dura adattare tutta la trama in un film.

Esatto, è quello che pensavo. Se prendiamo di buono quanto visto fino ad ora secondo me si fermano 

con il main e moglie pietrificati. Cliffhanger che aumenterà l'hype per il seguito e fanno soldoni. Che  probabilmente farebbero in ogni caso :asd:
