The brave general of Delcadar. There is none in the kingdom that rivals him in swordsmanship, and despite facing against monsters hundreds of the times in the past, even now he is undefeated. He has strong loyalty and is willing to risk his life as a shield as long as it is for the sake of his lord.

The Cold-Blooded Strategist – Homer

The strategist of Delcadar skilled in the art of war no matter the time and place. He has secured many achievements, such as destroying a large army of monsters with only a skeleton force. He is a character with accurate judgment and quick decisiveness who will execute a strategy based on the situation in order to secure victory.

The latest issue of Weekly Jump reveals a new “Skill Panel” system for Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time.
The Skill Panel is a new system by which the characters of Dragon Quest XI can grow. The Skill Panel is lined up with unique skills for each character. By using “Skill Points,” which are acquired through methods such as leveling up, and unlocking panels, you can learn new skills. You’ll start from the middle of the Skill Panel and can use skill points to learn skills while unlocking adjacent panels. There are also “?” panels that will be unlocked by opening surrounding panels. The shape of the Skill Panel is different for each character.

While the Skill Panel was introduced in the latest issue of Weekly Jump, another new system will be introduced in the next issue.

Spell of Restoration

The “Spell of Restoration” is a feature that lets you continue your adventure from roughly the same place in the story by entering a code into the adventure log menu. Since you can log the hero’s name and roughly how far you’ve advanced in the story, you can continue the story on a different platform. (Your level, the amount of money you have, and your possessions will be replaced with those prepared beforehand based on your progress of the story.)

All'inizio ero più orientato alla versione 3DS, anche per il fatto della grafica 2D nello schermo inferiore (ho adorato i DQ su DS), però la grafica su PS4 è molto accattivante. E poi negli ultimi tempi ho voglia di giocare jrpg su uno schermo bello grosso.

Uno dei primi episodi della saga era su questo emblema di Roto, se non ricordo male costituiscono una sorta di sotto-saga di episodi in cui certe cose ritornano sempre, come i capitoli della roba di Zestiria.

Roto è il nome del protagonista di DQIII che è il prequel di DQI e DQII e quindi antenato dei rispettivi protagonisti. Il manga ''L' emblema di Roto'' e i vari seguiti/spin-off dovrebbero collocarsi tra DQIII e I.

In ogni caso Roto o Loto vanno bene entrambi anche se il secondo lo trovo orrendo.

Si parla a riguardo del combat system, presentando due nuovi elementi, Zone e Link.

In battle, entering Zone surrounds your characters in a blue light and temporarily enhances their abilities. However, entering Zone also enables characters to use super powerful Link techniques where they attack together.
Here’s a brief overview of both systems:

Zone – A special state in which the character exhibits his or her highest power. It will continue for a while and can carry over to the next battle until it disappears.

Link – A powerful technique that combines the power of multiple party members. You can use various techniques depending on the spells and special skills you’ve learned.

It seems that monsters can also enter Zone and use Link techniques.

Here are a few examples of Link techniques:

Camus and Protagonist: “Falcom Dance” – Camus and the protagonist prepare their swords before unleashing a chain attack that pincers the enemy so fast they can’t even see it.

Silvia and Protagonist and Row: “Rose Hurricane” – A whirlwind of Silvia’s love that leaves the enemy beyond repair.

Full Party: “Giga Burst” – Combines the power of every party member. The ultimate special move in which the enemy is attacked within a shining blade.

■ Zone“Zone” is one of the new powers that appears in battle. Zone is a state of heightened concentration that temporarily increases your combat ability. If attacked by an enemy, the protagonist and other party members can enter Zone allowing them to turn a sticky situation into a prime opportunity.

—Entering Zone surrounds your body in a blue light and increases your ability! The effect can carry over to the next battle until it disappears.

—Even if you take heavy damage and find yourself in a pinch… entering Zone could be your chance for a counterattack!

—Zone is even more promising when several party members enter it.

—Monsters can also enter zone! Stay focused until you win!

If you enter Zone, you can acquire even further power. By combining your power with those of your party members, you can unleash powerful Link techniques. These can become the key to defeating formidable enemies!
