The upcoming college-themed spinoff of Amazon's "The Boys" finally has a name: "Gen V."

"It's gonna be a rollercoaster," star Lizzie Broadway says in the clip. "It's gonna be filled with blood, guts and everything else." Chance Perdomo adds, "It's fucked up. You're gonna like it."

Besides Broadway and Perdomo, "Gen V" stars Jaz Sinclair, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigossi.

"Gen V" is set at America's only college exclusively for superheroes, run by Vought International. According to the show's official logline, "Gen V" "is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It's part college show, part 'Hunger Games' — with all the heart, satire, and raunch of 'The Boys.'"

Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters serve as showrunners and executive producers of "Gen V."

Visto questo week End , siam ben oltre il Teen Drama e ben oltre the Boys medesimi , continuerò a seguirlo sperando che non si rovini

È bello e tutto ma alcune scene non hanno troppo senza, c'è della violenza un po' troppo gratuita e non parlo delle scene splatter, ma il contesto.

Vabè, ma è lo stile di queste serie la violenza esagerata in tutte le salse (fisica, sessuale, di genere, psicologica, ecc) anche senza un valido motivo.
Io vidi le prime due di the Boys e devo dire che se la prima era una bella novità e abbastanza bilanciata, già dalla seconda si è preferito forzare sulla violenza piuttosto che sulla trama. La terza non l' ho neanche vista per colpa della seconda, ma da quello che leggo è la peggiore delle tre, specialmente nel finale.
Questo gen V è comunque un qualcosa che nasce dai risultati di the Boys. La serie intriga perché nella psicologia umana ti incuriosisce vedere cosa potrebbe succedere se i supereroi fossero dei "pezzi di merda" talmente forti da poter fare tutto senza morale, ma dopo un po' la stessa minestra diventa un po' sdegnosa se non ci inerisci nuovi ingredienti.
