  Droppato Rise of the Tomb Raider, il peggior AAA che ho giocato negli ultimi tempi. Una palla mortale e possibilmente un passo indietro rispetto al precedente che già non era granché. Devono smettere di riempire i giochi di paccottiglia perché sì
  
  Finito anche NaissanceE, l'avevo adocchiato da un po' e adesso gratis su Steam. Uno di quei giochi in cui potresti tirare fuori uno screeshot semplicemente guardandoti intorno (infatti l'ho fatto), a metà fra la video arte e il video gioco vero e proprio. Fatto da una sola persona e con un bel po' di difetti non indifferenti (ad un certo punto è impossibile proseguire se non si fanno le cose esattamente in un certo ordine), si vede l'inesperienza ma voglio premiare la capacità di creare visioni e atmosfere fenomenali, cosa non indifferente. Recuperata una switch solo (giustamente c'è altro?) Zelda Botw e Mario odyssey per saggiare la nintendo difference. Il primo è un dark soul cartoonesco che si dilunga pure troppo nelle battute finali (da dimenticare tutta la parte finale, trovo alttp superiore). Il secondo dimostra di essere il re dei platform 3d mostrando più i muscoli puntando sulla varietà, il cappello è un'aggiunta intelligente (non penso che il galaxy lo spodesti)

[Brother's Killer]

Finito The Last Guardian. Di fronte ad un opera di un'autorialità così monolitica non posso non essere come minimo ammirato. È come se fosse un gioco indie realizzato con il budget di un tripla A, una sfida anche tecnica colossale (come cavolo volevano farlo uscire su PS3?) che non guarda in faccia nessun trend del mercato. 
La spinta minimalista di Ueda è portata così all'estremo, in un gioco che ruota così tanto sul rapporto con un compagno che al contrario di tutti gli altri della storia dei videogiochi è principalmente parte attiva e forte della coppia, da minimizzare tantissimo il giocato. E questo già di suo lo porta ad essere la più compassata fra le opere di un autore che di suo non si è mai distinto per ritmo. E se a questo ci aggiungiamo che si tratta pure della più grezza, tra telecamera e controlli orripilanti, alcuni errori grossolani nel level design, un po' di sezioni tediose ed una certa tendenza alla ridondanza di situazioni, capisco come mai molti possano odiarlo. Eppure in tutta le sue mancanze fra diverse cose che in questo modo fa solo lui, con una sua unicità che mi impediscono di non amarlo: l'onnipresente senso di fisicità che permea ogni azione, ogni movimento, sia del bambino che di Trico (l'enigma dell'onda ha un effetto wow paragonabile ai migliori di Zelda BotW), la scala vertiginosa su cui realizza un'bientazione artisticamente così meravigliosa eppure così coerente ed unitaria come Il nido, e ovviamente Trico stesso, studiato appositamente per superare qualunque sospensione dell'incredulità e far maturare, dai piccoli dettagli ai grandi set piece, un rapporto che mi è entrato nel cuore.

120 ore e non sentirle, appena finiti i titoli di coda l'impulso è stato quello di ricominciare da capo, per arrivare in fondo a tutto quello che non ho fatto in tempo (!) a finire. Nonostante l'impressionante mole di contenuti è leggerissimo da giocare pad alla mano, anche grazie ad una direzione artistica fuori parametro (sia visiva che sonora, anche se bisogna dire che per quanto bella la colonna sonora non brilli per varietà sul lungo periodo) e ad un interfaccia utente di un'immediatezza spiazzante. Narrativamente funziona benissimo nel mettere in scena il rapporto fra i protagonisti, molto meno nello sviluppo della trama vera e propria, che raramente si distacca dalle convenzioni dell'anime generico e che dopo un ottimo primo arco tende a procedere un po' per inerzia con antagonisti via via sempre meno interessanti. Altro difetto un po' subdolo è il fatto che nonostante le venti e passa ore di tutorial il gioco non dia mai chiare informazioni sul funzionamento di alcuni sistemi, sia relativi al combattimento (ad esempio il modo in cui vengono calcolati i punti esperienza) ma soprattutto nella componente simulativa (in particolare con i confidenti credo di aver perso giorni e giorni totalmente evitabili, sono arrivato a massimizzarne solo 4 o 5 e già mi è andata bene). Al di là di questi appunti quello di Persona è un mondo che mi ha conquistato, mi ci sono imbarcato per curiosità e devo dire che è stata una scommessa vinta. Mi metto già in coda per P6, e non escludo un eventuale recupero di P3 (se non si sbrigano a portare P4 su PS4 o Switch, ecco su Switch sarebbe stupendo).

Adesso sto in mezzo a RE7 ma ci vorrà tempo, un passo alla volta.
