Introduction
Woke up at 5 AM to go to the bathroom and expected to go back to sleep but CyberLeek moved over $250,000 across the blockchain tonight so here we are. I expect this to be the final part to this investigation as it seems CyberLeek may be done and has decided to cash out and let their meme coin free fall. I'll be going over where the money they made came from, where it went, how much has been withdrawn and where, and how much is still sitting in various wallets as of this post. Once this is all over I'll probably combine all four parts into one post for record keeping sake for when we're talking about this in a few years or if anyone decides to do a deep dive on this.
Section 1 - Where did the money come from?
When this all started I feel like most people (including myself) figured this was going to be a rug pull and the leaks were just to continue pushing the price of the coin higher and higher until CyberLeek finally decided to cash out. But I think CyberLeek made a pretty smart decision a burned the entire 270,000,000 reserve of tokens that they were holding in a private wallet. This was definitely done to give crypto whales more confidence in actually trading the coin and contributed to the coin exploding in price and market cap over the last few days. Instead of rug pulling the coin CyberLeek opted to make their money from transaction fees from people buying and selling the coin. This is why they have been putting an emphasis on the market cap and trading volume of the coin in their watermarks in recent leaks. That's also why the leaks have been drip fed instead of dropped in one big dump like teapot did in 2022. The "gamer's rights" grift was smart because a lot of people are passionate about Rockstar and Sony taking away the physical version of the game, myself included because I collect factory sealed GTA games. But I think most people can agree that it was pretty obvious this was always about the money and Rockstar was never going to budge on the physical disc thing. I'm still holding out hope the collector's edition may include a physical copy.
Section 2 - The $CYBERLEEK Token
As of now the token has lost about 75% of it's market cap since yesterday when the first leak dropped. It currently sits at $3.85M market cap down from a peak of $23.39M but I expect that to continue to dwindle as news spreads that CyberLeek has cashed out. It still sits at a surprising amount of holders, 63.5K+ wallets still currently hold $CYBERLEEK, but that number is also down about 25% since the leak yesterday and I expect we'll see that number drop significantly today.
Section 3 - How much did CyberLeek make?
I had my estimates around $260-270K yesterday based on trading volume and the fee claim today basically confirmed I was pretty close. According to the fees claimed this morning they collected around $270,000 in transaction fees from the $CYBERLEEK token. This is definitely a significant amount of money but is it enough to risk your freedom and a massive civil suit from Take Two? CyberLeek also burned (destroyed) 270,000,000 tokens worth about $1,790,000 at the time they were burned but this number is misleading. They would not have made anywhere near that if they attempted to offload those tokens. As soon as traders saw those tokens being unloaded all the big holders would have sold and the price would've tanked hard. CyberLeek likely made more from burning the tokens and gaining trust than they would have from doing a rug pull.
Section 4 - Cashing Out
I have traced all of the transactions after the fees were claimed and they lead to three different places; KuCoin, CCE.Cash, and various holding wallets that haven't had any activity yet. I personally believe some of the SOL going to KuCoin and some going to CCE.Cash suggests there are at least two people involved in this. Possibly the person orchestrating the leak and the person who supplied the footage.
Breakdown
- KuCoin received 36.17% (~$98,960) of the cashout.
- CCE.Cash received 30.72% (~$84,050) of the cashout.
- Various holding wallets received 33.11% (~$90,600) of the cashout.
Fee Claim Transactions
Transaction 1/4 - 781.241 SOL (~$79,029)
He8Q then divided up the SOL into three wallets.
- He8Q sent 391.19 SOL ($40.5K) to 7M79 which withdrew the SOL in three different transactions to KuCoin. Tran1 Tran2 Tran3
- He8Q sent 212 SOL ($22.2K) to CfHp which still holds the money as of this post.
- He8Q sent 178.05 SOL ($18.6K) to G2Va which still holds the money as of this post.
Transaction 2/4 - 741.631 SOL (~$77,054.98)
BFeK then divided the SOL into two wallets.
Transaction 3/4 - 676.521 SOL (~$68,397)
Bv6U then divided the SOL into two wallets.
Transaction 4/4 - 505.681 SOL (~$51,174)
- Creator wallet sent the SOL to 8hyp.
- 8hyp then sent the SOL to HHRZ which is still holding it.
Section 5 - CCE.Cash
CCE.Cash received $84,050 (30.72%) from the cash out, whether that means this is a second person or if CyberLeek is just using multiple withdrawal methods I will leave up to community speculation. I personally believe it may prove that there is at least two people involved in this. CCE.Cash is an anonymous swapping platform that let's you swap your crypto without needing to register for the platform. A user can send one coin to a wallet owned by CCE.Cash and have another crypto sent to a wallet of their choosing. This is where I hit a wall in my personal tracing of the funds because I can not reliably trace the crypto beyond this point due to the nature of the exchange.
This does not mean, however, that law enforcement cannot trace it. Even though the platform does not require registration CCE.Cash still keeps detailed order info and even though we can not publicly trace the crypto CCE.Cash will still be able to give over information needed by a forensics team to continue tracking down where the crypto went.
Section 6 - KuCoin
KuCoin received $98,960 (36.17%) from the CyberLeek cash out. In my very first investigation I traced the origins of the funds that funded this project to a KuCoin wallet and detailed how authorities could subpoena KuCoin for information on the account. This is still the case and even though the person who provided the SOL for the project could have use stolen credentials or purchased a preverified KuCoin account this does not mean it is a dead end. KuCoin will still have valuable data in terms of IP addresses, transaction timestamps, funding, device information, etc. that investigators can use as leads to continue their investigation.
Section 7 - Profits
The original setup of this whole project (the CYBERLEEK token, the website, and the file uploads) was around $29,000 at the time of my first investigation. Which means the person or group behind this leak profited around $241,000 if this is where this all ends. Not an amount to completely dismiss but is it really risk your freedom money? I personally believe the leaker expected to make much more from this project and the watermark messaging in the most recent clips feels kind of panicky. As the coin continued to drop over the last 24 hours and the public started to lose interest I believe the leaker made the choice to cash out.
Section 8 - Is CyberLeek done?
I guess that remains to be seen. As of this post they have not posted a new leak and there is not a new poll running on the site. In the most recent clip it seemed like there would be a second part to it but who knows if we will see it or not. I believe we are either done with this saga or near the very end. CyberLeek may post one last leak and disappear or we may never hear from them again in regards to GTAVI. The $CYBERLEEK coin is likely done and will continue to fall until most holders have sold off their share in the coming days. It has already lost around 75% of it's market cap in the last 24 hours which is very telling to what the public and crypto whales think of this situation.
