■ Avatar Battles
Avatar battles are quite different from ordinary battles in that they feature shooting. Players control an Avatar and make use of a variety of attacks. When the blue gauge above the enemy’s head reaches zero they will be stunned, giving you the opportunity in inflict major damage. If you land a Data Drain as the finishing blow, the Avatar battle will end in victory.

Homing Laser
By pressing the Square button, you can lock on to multiple enemies and fire lasers. It creates swords around your back, which transform into countless lasers that fire. It is an exhilarating and unique high-powered attack that can exterminate a large amount of small fry all at once with no firing limit.
Slash Combo
—Long Distance Attack
By mashing the Circle button, you can unleash continuous attacks wielding a scythe formed by condensing energy. Since the scythe leaves tracks called a “Slash Web” each time you swing it, you can also use it to attack enemies that are a short distance away.
—Stun Chance and Stun
When an enemy becomes stunned, a notice is displayed in the middle of the screen. At this time, if you press the X button to dash, you can instantly to appear in front of the enemy and attack. During a stun chance, you can move to appear in front of the enemy to directly slice them with your scythe and deal major damage.
