AI Generated voices appear to be used by Halo Studios & Microsoft for the French version of Halo Campaign Evolved
Mo vedremo se è vero e se il francese non è l'unico
Good evening to all the Spartans,
Thank you for your words, for your support, and for your desire to see us all reunited, particularly Laetitia for Cortana and myself for John. However, neither of us, nor any of the original voice actors, were hired for this reboot, and specifically for the three new missions.
Sadness and incomprehension have been with us for a few days now.
Because in truth, Microsoft seems to have preferred other actors, or worse, AI, to replace us for this release.
Sadness and incomprehension, therefore, at not being able to participate in this new Halo adventure after twenty-five years, and especially at Microsoft's lack of respect for the fans, the players, the Spartans, and by extension, the entire wonderful community that you all form.
Rest assured, above all, I am thinking of you, of the honor you do us by loving and supporting us for all these years, and I thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart.
And do not forget, Spartans: if you encounter any Covenants, you will need a weapon...
Thank you.To everyone
We had some doubt at first they were using AI Generated voices for the entire game, but recently, we got a preview of the French version following a closed test of the game, and here's an example in French from the Silent Cartographer cinematic in Campaign Evolved:

If you're not speaking French, you might think "Nothing's wrong here?", but the way the "comedian" for Cortana is saying "Covenant" is quite surprising since this is not how "Covenant" was told in the French version. Here, it is said as if it was spelled "Con-ve-nan", where in French, it was exactly like in English as "Cov'nant-s". No voice actors & actresses would actually say it this way in Fench, and if you're curious, this is exactly how Google Translate is spelling this word in French using their generate voice feature (you can click on the "Sound" to play the word with the generate voice):

You can have a look below at the original voice line in French for this cinematic and hear the difference:

As we got in touch with people in the matter to get more details, we hoped to confirm that, maybe, the voices used for the French version may be from Canadian voice actors & actresses, but the Canadian community told us they weren't aware of voice actors & actresses who would got hired for their version as well, as of now.
We're still reaching for the Canadian community to check if there were comedians hired for this, so if you're from Canada and can help us on this, you're more than welcome so we can, maybe, dismiss the AI Voice allegations.
All of this seems to imply they've been using AI Generated voices for the version we got to discover.
