The Helluva Boss x Hazbin Hotel crossover will start in October

Creator Vivienne Medrano reveals her plan, starting small with season 3 of Helluva Boss in October.

We'd actually written [part 1] before the relationship with Amazon became finalized, so that's why [the crossovers are] more in the second half," Medrano said. "It does start this season, [but] more of the exciting crossover potential is in the second half. But what's fun about the first half is, on the visual side, we were able to lean into that crossoverness. We were able to go, 'Oh, we can actually maybe see Hazbin characters.' So you might see some things."


Medrano explains that the second half of season 3, written after the Amazon pickup, has a more direct crossover, though it's still comparatively small. "For now, just to keep the narratives as streamlined as possible, it's more just getting the opportunity to maybe see a character or something. But there is some exciting potential — a little bit more than a cameo that will definitely happen this season. Obviously, I don't wanna spoil who might show up in season 3.2. [But] I'm a big fan of the bigger, full-on, focused crossover. So fingers crossed we'll get to do that at some point."
