An Introduction to the Letters

Hello everyone! I’m Igarashi, the producer of Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia.

First, a big thank you to all of the fans who have been eagerly waiting for this game. Rest assured, we’re pouring our hearts and souls into getting it into your hands as quickly as possible. There’s still some time until June 25, but we appreciate your patience!

In this letter, I want to introduce gameplay features and answer some questions. This won’t be a regular feature, but I’ll try to share as much information as I can whenever possible. Basic information about the game can already be found on the official homepage and gaming media sites, so I’ll be sharing content that goes into a bit more detail.

The Main Game Mode and Difficulty Levels

I’ll start by talking about the difficulty levels in the main mode called “The Legend of Runersia.”

In this mode, you choose one of six nations to join as you conquer Runersia. You can also choose the difficulty level at the beginning of the game. If you’re new or not used to this game genre, I would recommend going with Easy.

We’ve also included other features aside from difficulty levels to help newcomers learn the basics quickly. First, we have the “Training” mode, or what you would call a tutorial mode. This is where you can get hands-on instruction about gameplay basics. You can also turn this guide on or off after starting the game. When active, you’ll see advice about gameplay, skills, spells, and more as you play. The advice offered in this guide and in the TIPS (which includes strategies and trivia) shown on the loading screen can be viewed at any time from the “Options” menu. Once you understand the rules, you’ll see how enjoyable these simple yet intriguing gameplay mechanics can be!

As for veterans of the series who have played Forsena or Grand Edition, you’ll most likely feel right at home with the Hard difficulty. What are the differences between the three levels exactly? I’ll be covering that in the next letter.

Like most of Mondstadt’s young people, Noelle always dreamed of being a knight of Favonius when she grew up.

She may not have what it takes to be a knight just yet, but she is learning. Working as a maid at the Knights’ headquarters, she is constantly taking notes on what constitutes knightly speech, knightly conduct, and knightly customs.

She holds firm to her belief that one day she will join their ranks — she just needs to keep trying her hardest at everything she does.

“Jean’s job is definitely the most stressful. But Noelle’s is by far the busiest.” – Kaeya, who in contrast to both Jean and Noelle seems quite the man of leisure.

Many people in Mondstadt think there’s something a little bit magical about Noelle: She seems to have the ability to be everywhere at once, and to do absolutely anything she sets her mind to.

Whether it’s a Knights of Favonius dinner party, a winery banquet, or just an ordinary barbecue, Noelle is a whirlwind of helpfulness that will burst through your door at the first sign of a problem and whisk it away for you.

It’s no wonder that people have taken to calling her the “Wondermaid.”

But ask Noelle and she’ll tell you there’s nothing wondrous about the way she works, let alone magical. She just takes pride in her work and is constantly in pursuit of perfection.

“Nothing more, nothing less. Just as it should be, and not as it should not be.”

  • First of all, we get to see the addition of Gildarts Clive to the playable roster.
  • Interestingly, the images also showcase exchanges among characters that aren’t included in the anime, since you can involve in your party people who normally wouldn’t interact in that way.
  • Next in line is an expansion to the story. On top of what we have seen before, we take a glimpse at the Tartaros and Eclipse arcs, which will be covered by the game.
  • For those who appreciate cuteness, Erza’s costume from the Miss Fairy Tail contest will make an appearance as an early purchase bonus in Japan.
  • We then hear from producer Keisuke Kikuchi, who explains what the team achieved thanks to the recent delay.
  • Systems, production, and balance have been improved. New unison raids have been added (with the feedback from mangaka Hiro Mashima), alongside more flexibility in ranking up your favorite characters.
  • The balance of experience earned between party members and characters left out has been tweaked.
  • The Lacrima system has also been enhanced with more types of Lacrima that can be created, enabling more features.
  • Performance in battle has also been improved, alongside camera work and effects, including lighting.
  • Another element that has been tweaked for the better are character expressions during events and animations.

Cygames sta valutando la possibilità di fare uscire Granblue Fantasy Relink anche su PS5, oltre che su PS4.

Twinfinite asked director Tetsuya Fukuhara himself, who confirmed that he is “very sure” that Granblue Fantasy Relink will still be released on PS4.

That being said — while he made it clear that for now, it’s just a possibility — depending on the release timing, the game could get a cross-generation release on PS4 and PS5.

When asked to clarify whether it would be simply a PS4 release taking advantage of backward compatibility, or a proper dedicated launch on PS5, Fukuhara-san mentioned that the latter option is a possibility.

“It’s not decided at the moment, but there is a possibility that it would be a proper PS5 disk. In that case, it probably wouldn’t feature a big jump in visual quality and resolution, but it’d probably have a better frame rate and faster loading times. This is one possibility, but we’ll see in the future.”

The new Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC adds an original episode titled “A New Awakening (First Part)”. It starts out with Goku and Vegeta finding themselves on Beerus’ planet, where Whis appears and orders them to fight Beerus. The DLC content is playable prior to clearing the main game. In this mode, you’ll train under Whis to unlock Super Saiyan God for both Goku and Vegeta. Training comes in the form of various challenges that score a bunch of experience points.

The Super Saiyan God transformation vastly increases Goku and Vegeta’s stats. It also adds new special moves to learn, like God Kamehameha in the above image. Super Saiyan God adds +1 to combo level in addition to more new moves and a different combo finish.

On the next page, we get to see Super Saiyan God Vegeta as a playable character. It shows Vegeta’s God Heat Flash that is said to have top-class power among energy blast attacks.

After training in the DLC, you can use the same data and head back to the main story to pick up where you left off. Here we see Vegeta go Super Saiyan God in his fight against Dodoria. We expect to see it end with filthier fireworks. It also shows that advanced players who feel confident enough can challenge Beerus. However, be warned, he brings overwhelming power and speed to the challenge.

Lastly, there’s a bit that mentions the “Anime Song & BGM Pack ~Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Selection~” that will release in Spring 2020 for 1,389 yen plus tax. It includes tracks such as Dragon Ball Z‘s opening song “We Gotta Power” and ending songs such as “Boku-tachi wa Tenshi Datta” and other popular songs as BGM tracks for the game.

Questa volta parla dell'Alternate Chapter / Challenge Mode.

Hello everyone! I’m Igarashi, the producer of Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia.

Today, I’ll be sharing more information about the Alternate Chapter, also known as Challenge Mode.
I understand fans have been requesting more information about this mode for some time.
You won’t have to wait much longer! Screencaps and other information will be published by game media soon.
In the meantime, here’s a sneak peak for our social media followers!

Challenge Mode (Alternate Chapter)
This mode unlocks after you’ve cleared Main Mode – The Legend of Runersia.
In a nutshell, it’s a combination of a sandbox mode and a score attack mode.
There isn’t any story, but this mode comes with more freedom and elements of strategy.

Here are some features of this mode.

Sandbox Elements
• Just like in Main Mode, you start by choosing one leader from the six available nations.
• However, you then choose any nine knights and start the game with 10 total Rune Knights.
• Only knights who have already been recruited during Main Mode or Challenge Mode are available.
• Knights of countries only played for a short time will be selectable, even if you haven’t beaten the game.
• You start with only one base.
• All knights and monsters, whether ally or enemy, will start the game at level one.
• Just like Main Mode, you can send units on quests and recruit new knights for your country.
• There are no restrictions for recruitment based on country, so you can focus on lineup instead of loyalty.

Score Attack Elements
• Aim for a high Strategy Score (SS) by using excellent tactical maneuvers.
• The Strategy Score (SS) accumulated can be saved in your war records.
• Just like in the Main Mode, you will get a Game Over if your base count reaches zero.
• Failing to meet any of the 10 victory conditions for continental conquest will also result in a Game Over.
• The game starts in Runersia 781, Season 1. The first victory condition is to occupy 4 bases by Year 781,Season 11.
• All victory conditions are about holding a certain number of bases by a certain time.
• The final condition is to occupy all bases in the continent, thereby achieving continental conquest.
• Each time you meet a victory condition, you will gain Strategy Score (SS).
• All time limits come with a bit of elbow room, so make use of the extra time to strengthen your forces.
• That said, the faster you meet the conditions, the higher your Strategy Score (SS) bonus will be.
• The more conditions you meet, the stronger the CPU becomes, making battles more intense as you progress.
• There are a number of other ways to boost your Strategy Score (SS) as well.
• For example, claiming two bases in one season or winning a battle with only two platoons.
• Milestones such as training 20 monsters to level 20 or owning 30 equipment items will also earn you SS.

Other
• Enemy (CPU) AI is the same as the Main Mode’s Hard difficulty.

We’ve play-tested for many hours, and the game unfolds in a different way each time.
I thought I was pretty good until I asked Ito, our Lead Game Designer, what his score was.
Unfortunately, my skills were above average at best.
If I keep playing and developing new strategies, however, I know I’ll be able to break my record.
Your Strategy Score (SS) can be a conversation point about tactics diversity among other players,
and it’ll help you face the facts about your skill level! This, too, is part of Challenge Mode’s appeal!

What knights, classes, monsters, and strategies will you use to get the highest score?
