Quoto,se poi consideri che quelle 3-4 armi migliori del gioco, in relazione al livello, sono legate alla variabile forza tutto diventa più grave.

Deck13 Interactive, the German studio behind last year’s hit Lords of the Fallen, sent out a press release today stating that they’re now an official Xbox publisher.

Deck13 also clarified that they have four titles lined up to be released on Xbox One; the lineup will be officially announced “soon”. In all likelihood, this translates to the E3 period; a few days ago Deck13 had confirmed to be working on a “core” title that will be published by Focus Home Interactive and is scheduled to be announced at E3, this is probably one of those four.

Lords of the Fallen 2 won't be released until 2017, and German developer Deck 13 - co-developer of the original - will not be involved.
CI Games boss Marek Tyminski also told me at Digital Dragons in Poland that sales of Lords of the Fallen 1 had passed 900,000.

"It's doing fine," he said of the original game, which launched in October 2014. "We are over 900,000 units. Not yet 1m but we are approaching that. And definitely it's a good start for the new IP. Definitely we can say that Lords of the Fallen 1 proved the IP made sense."

A sequel has already been confirmed, and will be developed in the same way as the first - with the one notable exception: no Deck 13.

"We are not working with Deck 13 right now," he confirmed. "We are starting the project, we start from the concepting, but we definitely will be working with a lot of partners."

"We plan to release the game in 2017," he said. "We learnt not to say about the release date too early, so we will only be announcing the release date of each particular game when we will be close enough and we will be sure the game will be on time."

CI Games Discloses Focused Future for the Company
CI Games today announced its future strategy for the company including some hints at upcoming plans moving forward.

The company confirmed plans to create a new tactical shooter that will be announced at a latter time. Additionally, CI Games also reiterated its commitment to a sequel for the acclaimed Lords of the Fallen, and will also continue supporting Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 with future updates through 2017.

“We’ve learned a lot as a team over the course of development for Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, much of which I believe has shaped the talented individuals within CI Games and the entire studio for the better,” said Chief Executive Officer Marek Tymiñski. “When we began development of SGW3, we decided on such a relatively large scale of the game with its open world that now we realize it was just too ambitious versus what we could have been able to deliver in any reasonable amount of time. We simply made the wrong math considering the size of our team and the originally given timeframe. By positioning the game in a AAA category, it took us away from what we could have done great. Instead we spent too much effort trying to catch up with other AAA titles in terms of their production values and features. That was a big mistake.”

Continued Tymiñski, “All of that was a huge lesson for us and we’re now moving forward without any tag attached to our next project. We’re planning to make a great tactical shooter where we can focus on exciting gameplay, some key mechanics, and missions that have depth without all of the trappings of a large open-world setting. We want to make this game even more tactical than SGW3, and I believe the last three years have created a wonderful foundation that we can build upon for our next game.”

CI Games Teams Up With Defiant Studios for Lords of the Fallen 2
CI Games announced today that they will partner with developer Defiant Studios to deliver the anticipated sequel to Lords of the Fallen.

Lords of the Fallen (released on consoles and PC in 2014) is a challenging action RPG that follows the journey of Harkyn, a convicted criminal who takes up arms against the demonic Rhogar army. The game features fast paced combat, blending powerful magic alongside a complex and satisfying melee combat system. It has sold over 2 million units to date. CI Games is dedicated to delivering a quality second title for fans of the IP, and partnering with Defiant is an important step towards this goal.

Defiant Studios is a privately held, independent studio composed of veteran staff with proven track records in developing top-selling AAA games. The company was founded in New York City in 2016 by the former studio head and game director of Avalanche Studios New York, a team that previously developed multi-million selling titles such as Just Cause 3. The partnership demonstrates an important component of CI Games’ new strategy — collaborating with strong external teams to deliver quality gaming experiences with the player in mind.

“We talked to a number of globally respected studios that had shown a strong interest in making the next LotF, and received several solid pitches. We finally decided to move forward with Defiant because we were impressed with their game concept, production expertise, and the pedigree of their developers,” said CI Games Chief Executive Officer, Marek Tymiński. “Defiant is made up of some the industry’s most talented creators, and we are thrilled to have them create the sequel to LotF. We look forward to bringing their next big game to the global market on consoles and PC.”

On the collaboration between CI and Defiant, Founder and Managing Director of Defiant Studios, David Grijns said, “We have been talking with CI Games for several months now, and went through a detailed process of getting to know one another’s expectations and motivations in regards to Lords of the Fallen 2. We are happy that we can commit our studio to developing a great game in a well-established franchise. Our team has been excited about the chance to make the next LotF from the moment we started to work on our pitch for CI. We are particularly thrilled about the creative freedom that CI Games is willing to offer.”

CI games will continue to develop projects internally with a smaller and leaner development team, as per its new direction announced in June 2017. But the partnership demonstrates the publisher’s commitment to fostering relationships with third-party developers, preserving their creative freedom and delivering quality titles for their community. The LotF 2 collaboration marks the beginning of a new chapter in the publisher’s gaming portfolio.

Tymiński emphasised, “Signing the next LotF with Defiant is a very important step for CI Games as a publisher. We look forward to continue teaming up with third-party developers to help bring their projects to global audiences, and are invested in building long term relationships. For the past several months we have been in discussions with many talented studios from around the world, and will soon have more to share about the outcomes of those discussions. This marks the beginning for CI Games in terms of the games portfolio we have been building for the coming years.”

Così questo lo sviluppa Defiant Studios mentre i Deck13 si concentreranno su The Surge 2.

Due milioni di copie vendute col primo non è male.

Lords of the Fallen 2 appears to be back on the ropes again.

No sooner had the game attached a new developer, Defiant Studios in New York, than we now hear the partnership has ended and the Polish company in charge, CI Games, has decided to finish the game in-house with outsourcing help.

The break doesn't sound amicable. Here's how CI Games announced it in a Polish press release on Wednesday, 15th May (translated for Eurogamer by Daniel Kłosiński - thank you).

"The termination of the agreement was submitted due to inadequate execution by Defiant [of] a key work stage (milestone no. 11), a so-called vertical slice. The quality of the work was lower than expected by the company, as precisely described in the agreement, despite three calls to improve the quality of this stage of work.

"

Defiant Studios, however, doesn't agree, and was less than thrilled by the portrayal.

"We categorically disagree with the portrayal of Defiant Studios made by CI Games," founder and managing director David Grijns told me.

"The team that was working on CI Games' project was comprised of exceedingly talented developers whose work we fully stand behind. Our team knows how to build quality games as is evident by their key roles in Just Cause 3, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Far Cry 5, Devil May Cry (DmC) and many other top tier projects."

However, he added: "As we intend to abide by our contractual confidentiality obligations, at this time we cannot expand further on this matter."

I morti tornano :sard:
