Ottimo, presto recupererò Last Light!

Buono a sapersi, entrambi ottimi giochi, in particolar modo Last Light

Il franchise Metro "continuerà assolutamente" assicura Deep Silver

Deep Silver CEO Dr. Klemens Kundratitz spoke to Joystiq about Metro: Last Light, which the publisher picked up when it was practically finished for $5.9 million during the THQ asset auction.
“I’m very glad we acquired that brand,” he said. “While it launched in a very dry space in the gaming calendar this year, it still got a lot of attention. Our ambition is to absolutely continue with that brand and we will also, in the next phase, look to making it more accessible for a broader gamer audience.”

This could be a statement to be concerned about. Often when a franchise is ‘made more accessible’ it loses what made it so effective in the first place. In the case of Metro, they have a good relationship with the author of the source material, who owns the license. This relationship should help retain the identity of the franchise.

“It is true with a license you have to be aligned with the license holder. In this case it’s [Metro 2033 author] Dmitry Glukhovsky who holds the license and he’s a great guy. He enjoys the game, the success of the game and we have a good relationship.” Kundratitz continued, “He is a great contributor. Also, going forward, as he has been very positive contributing to the last game – I think he can play an active role for whatever comes in the future.”

There has been no announcement of a new Metro game just yet, but Kundratitz confirmed that Deep Silver has plans to work with developer 4A Games again.

la notizia è un po' vecchiotta ma credo che il vecchio thread se lo sia mangiato il cut off :morristend:

4A Games apre un nuovo Studio a Malta | 4A Games al lavoro su diversi progetti |

Metro dev 4A Games to open new studio in Malta:

Metro: Last Light developer 4A Games is to open a new studio in Malta.
The company says that the new studio will serve as its new headquarters, with the existing studio continuing to operate in Kieve, Ukraine. Key members from its Kiev office will be relocating to Malta as part of the move, including creative director Andrew Prokhorov and chief technical officer Oles Shishkovstov.

"By basing our new headquarters in Malta, a member state of the EU, 4A Games will be able to better compete on the international stage" said CEO Dean Sharpe. "Malta offers fantastic incentives for game development, and we are confident 4A Games will be able to attract the very best talent from Ukraine, Malta and beyond."

"This marks the start of a new chapter for 4A Games," added Prokhorov. "We are proud of our achievements as a young studio, and humbled by the response to our output so far. The team is looking forward to this new adventure.”

4A Games says that it is currently developing "unannounced titles within the Metro universe as well as further, unannounced projects".

Un sequel di Metro? Ottimo :ivan:

4A Games Working on Another Metro Title; A New IP Set in Space with “Fascinating” Alien Landscapes – Rumor:

In a new Russian interview with 4A Games, it seems that two new projects from the team may have been confirmed in the interview.

According to the interview, 4A Games currently has a total of three projects in the works. The first of which, is the already announced Metro: Redux, which is a collection of the first two entries in the series, Metro 2033 and Last Light. Both of the game have been updated visually, and Metro: 2033 has essentially been rebuilt from the ground up, offering a gameplay experience more akin to what we saw in Last Light.

The interview, however, possibly reveals two new projects. One, is a new game in the Metro series which they describe as “radically” different from the previous entries in the series.

The second project – a new shooter in the universe Metro, radically different from the previous parts of the series . Working on the script author of the novels “Metro” Dmitry Gluhovskij and action games … Here we have to stop. NDA forbids us to give any details , but look at those episodes and technical pieces that we have seen in the office 4A Games, really impressive .

Terza persona? Tps?

Spero di no.

Next Metro game due out in 2017

The next game in the Metro series will launch in 2017, the official website for the Metro 2035 novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky reveals.
The Metro video game series is based on Glukhovsky’s novels. Metro 2033 the novel launched in 2007 and its sequel Metro 2034 followed in 2009. The final book in the trilogy, Metro 2035, launches December 10.

In a timeline on the website, Glukhovsky lists “the next Metro video game” for release in 2017. A teaser reads, “It all adds up to something. Where the books end their story, the game will pick it up. An era of great discoveries lies ahead…”
