First of all, we get some absolutely lovely artwork of Arshe as she is revived by the Curia by infusion of demon blood, on top of more lovely pictures of Arshe herself, the priestess Liliana and the knight Ruenhaid (who is the best waifu, and I’ll fight anyone who denies that).
We learn that Arshe will be able to pair with several female characters named “Lilies.” Each has her own personality and fighting style. The different combinations can completely change the way battles are fought. It’s possible to bring in battle one Lily and two servants (which are detailed below), and experiment with the different combinations.

Fighting with Ruenhaid as a lily means fighting alongside a knight. She will try to protect Arshe, and they will defend each other’s back, preventing attacks from blind spots.

Her “protect” ability allows her to take damage instead of Arshe when she is in a pich. When certain conditions are met, a “chance action” will be performed, and Arshe and Ruenhaid will execute a devastating combined attack.

Arshe can also bring “servants” into battle. They are animal-shaped spirits that can be summoned. The cat-like Nero has a flame sprouting from his tail, and can turn pretty literally into a flamethrower. Pitts is an attack-type servant shaped like a bee, and she stransforms into a spear that Arshe can wield, increasing her range.

We also get to see scenes in which the feelings among the girls collide and waver. The relationship between Arshe and Ruenhaid is complex. They’re childhood friends, but they’re also agent and knight of two rival organizations. Ruenhaid will try to change Arshe’s attitude by grabbing her arm and pulling her close, but this sudden shortening of the distance among them will leave them staring into each other’s eyes in silence.

On the other hand, Ruenhaid has tender feelings towards Liliana, and she will approach her gently.

Last but not least, we get to learn about two special editions for Japan.

The Premium Box includes an artbook, a soundtrack, a B3 poster, a download code for a costume for Arshe, a special Arshe 3D card, and a bromide set.

The Special Collector’s Box includes all of the above plus a bathroom poster, a keychain, and an A3 tapestry.

■ Story
Can the inhuman save humanity?

The battle of the past between the Nightlord and the Saint left a major impact on the world. That is, a world that never sleeps, where “humans” are active during the hours the light shines, and demons known as fiends run rampant during the hours of darkness. Alushe, a knight of the Curia, is entrusted as a guard to escort the Saint Liliana, her former childhood friend.

After fighting the fiends that attacked them, the two finally arrive at the Curia, but there learn that Liliana is the chosen “Bride of Time” to be offered as a sacrifice to the “Queen of the Moon.” In her surprise, sorrow, and suffering, Alushe takes Liliana and heads for the Queen of the Moon’s castle. However, they’re suddenly attacked by a powerful demon, and Alushe, despite her best efforts, is killed.

When she awakens, Alushe has been resurrected by the Curia as an artificial half-demon. According to the Curia’s researchers, Liliana had already disappeared when they found her, and is said to likely be in the abandoned city. In order to recover the stolen Liliana, the resurrected Alushe heads for the abandoned city, taking along the demon power she does not desire within her.

■ Change Your Partners for an Infinite Variety of Battles

Alushe takes Servans and Lilys into battle. By continuing to fight fiends, you can strengthen your bond with both your Lilys and Servans to make them grow. Each Lily and Servan has their own personality and fighting style, so depending on how you combine them your method of attack will also change completely.

You can take a maximum of one Lily and two Servans into battle. Try to combine a variety of Lily and Servan abilities!

■ Fight Together with Ruhenheid

Each Lily’s personality is reflected in their fighting style. The knight Ruhenheid protects Alushe by staying close, covering her backside and defending against attacks from her blind spot.

Lilys support Alushe with their own unique, special skills. Ruhenheid’s special skill is to protect Alushe from damage when she’s in a pinch, so she will prove reliable when fighting fiends with strong attacks.

A powerful cooperation attack called a “Chance Action” will occur under specific circumstances in battle. Ruhenheid’s Chance Action is a spin attack that scatters surrounding enemies.

■ The Servans that Advance Alushe’s Path

Servans are familiars that form a contract with Alushe, who while fight while summoning them. There are two types of Servans that use special actions: “Trickers” that open new paths and the “Strikers” that become Alushe’s weapon. Alushe and company will lead these Servans and continue to fight in this world.

Alushe’s old friend, Nero, a Tricker-type Servan. With a characteristic red tail and scarf, Nero burns enemies by using a strong “Fire Breath” attack.

When clearing stages, you can show your skill by using special actions. Thorn walls that can’t be harmed by Alushe can be destroyed with Nero’s flames, for example. These are kinds of special actions Tricker-types are able to open new paths, as well as gain the upper hand in battle.

Pitts is a Striker-type Servan. She has a large stinger that doesn’t match her body, and exhibits great usefulness against physically hard enemies.

As a Striker, Pitts turns into a spear for Alushe. When Alushe changes the way she holds a weapon, her attacks also changes greatly. When this spear is used, you can “evade” and “dodge attack,” as well as attack from long range with your follower bee, allowing you to attack enemies without pausing.

■ Trembling Thoughts and Conflict

A shrine maiden and a knight are in two different positions that oppose each other, as the three former childhood friends once again become aware of each other. Due to a complicated balance, the relationship they once held will soon wane greatly.

Although there is hostility, the two accept each other. Ruhenheid, wanting to change Alushe’s attitude, pulls her in by the arm suddenly shortening the distance between the two. As they stared at each other it became silent.

Under heavy pressure, Liliana doesn’t talk to anyone. Ruhenheid, knowing Liliana’s thoughts and kindness, asks a question.

■ New Lily Introduction


Camilla Arukado

A woman doctor researching artificial half-demons. She has a look akin to cold observation, and is unshaken by things and a woman of plain remarks. She is the genius who was able to revive Alushe as a half-demon after her heart was pierced by demons. She offers the hotel to Alushe and company as a base, but her real intentions for supporting her are unknown. When fighting alongside Alushe as a Lily, she uses a gun to battle fiends.

—As support for Alushe, Camilla will provide a variety of advice. Beyond her cold appearance and atmosphere is someone kind and emotional, and often warns Alushe, who tends to run wild, not to do so.

■ Fighting with Camilla

In Nights of Azure 2, you’ll fight battles alongside one Lily and two Servans. Camilla, who uses a gun in battle, specializes in attacking from long distances.

Camilla’s gun can be switched between two modes by replacing the barrel. The surface is suppressed by the short barrel, and high-power precision shooting via the long barrel.

■ Your Connection to Servans and Their Roles

Most fiends have lost their sense of self and instinctively attack humans. However, among them are those that the blue blood of demons has not fully invaded, allowing them to keep their sense of self. Rescuing them from other fiends will allow them to join and fight alongside Alushe as subordinate demons called Servans, granting her even greater power.

Nero

Nero is a cat Servan adored by Alushe. Her relationship with Nero is deeper than that of any other Servan, and is connected to her past.

Shalf

Shalf is a wolf Servan. In battle he attacks with sharp fangs and electric shocks, and teases the enemy with his agile movements. Shalf’s electric shocks can also be used to solve puzzles.

Servans support Alushe in a different manner than Lilys. You can use the special abilities they each possess, use them as powerful equipment for Alushe, use them to open new paths, etc. They’ll play a role in various situations.

■ New Servan Introduction

Eil

Eil is a bird Servan who controls the flame that surround his body to attack and trifle with groups of enemies.

Additionally, as a Striker Servan, he’ll transform into a great sword. A sword basked in flames, it will set ablaze the enemies it strikes and deal great damage. Additionally, by focusing your power, you can flare up the sword even more intensely and deal double the damage to enemies.

■ A Large Fiend that Possesses Great Power

There will be large-scale fiends that act as bosses on your way to the Queen of the Moon. Unlike other fiends, these fiends posses great power, making cooperation with your Lilys and Servans is more important than ever. There are also mechanisms to weaken the boss during these boss stages, which by using well will give you the upper hand in battle.
