Trama: Nei territori Comanche del 1719, la giovane Naru cerca di dimostrarsi una cacciatrice al pari dei giovani maschi della comunità, guidati da suo fratello Taabe. Ha la sua occasione quando, seguendoli di soppiatto, si unisce a una spedizione di caccia al leone. Strada facendo incontra le tracce di un altro più pericoloso predatore, ma non riesce a convincere nessuno che non si tratti di un semplice orso. Giunto da un altro mondo, questo predatore invece è fin troppo reale, determinato a cercare sfide di caccia degne di sé e protetto da una tecnologia stealth che lo rende pressoché invisibile. La sua superiorità tecnologica sembra insuperabile non solo per i comanche, ma pure per un gruppo di spregevoli trapper francofoni...

vabbè come ho detto nel topic di alien saga, penso che l'idea del titolo sia eccellente, con nella migliore delle ipotesi la possibilità di riaccostarsi alla "predator formula" dei primi due film dove il predator era un "ospite" che faceva "deragliare" un film di genere (di guerra o poliziesco, di fatto un crossover), che la sovra esposizione a tratti supereroistica che hanno avuto i cacciatori alieni negli ultimi film (dagli avp, Predators e The Predator), "Prey" è il titolo perfetto per connettere e riaggiustare le aspettative (che il predator vinca stavolta?!

) , sono contento della scelta dei nativi americani con cui la serie ha molte più connessioni tra fumetti, Billy e il gangster/sciamano del secondo film piuttosto che tò antichi Dei egizi, mi sconfinfera poco che vogliano ritrarre i comanche come misogeni ma magari sono solo chance per fare bella figura dette anche prima di iniziare le riprese mentre più di recente si sono soffermati sull'accuratezza storica ma bho non sono un comanche quindi sti cachi in ogni caso avrei preferito la guerra civile americana per avere più range per arsenale, tattiche, cast e storia (ed anche perchè ho apprezzato "l'inferno si avvicina" della Dark Horse) ma ok meglio provare a camminare prima di correre
ovviamente si tratta tutta di fiducia mal riposta trattandosi del sorcio a tirare i fili

quindi il film terminerà con Pocahontas ed il predator che si scoprirà una lei (non c'è bisogno di dire una principessa) che decollano insieme per andare a combattere il patriarcato in space

Pensa, a me quello di Shane Black è piaciuto. Ignorante e divertente, bene così.

Devo dire che bene o male con Predator son sempre cascato bene, tolti gli AvP che... 'enzomma.

Di questo Prey, invece, l'unica cosa che già mi infastidisce un totale è di doverlo vedere per forza in streaming. I film che non vedono nemmeno la sala mi danno sui nervi, non sopporto veramente questa tendenza.

è dal 1990 che non azzeccano un film sui Predators.

l'ultimo di Shane Black l'ho detestato mentre con Predators del 2010 mi ero pure divertito ma rimaneva uno scimmiottamento per lunghi tratti... questo Prey invece piazzandolo con i nativi americani sicuramente desta curiosità,.

Sicuramente lo stile sembra diverso dalle trashate che ci hanno rifilato negli ultimi anni, potrebbe essere un gran film, un revenant con il predator

comunque interessante che i fratelli Thomas con cui qualcuno si ricorderà c'era la discuta legale con la Disney per i diritti di Predator l'anno scorso adesso sono presenti come produttori esecutivi nei crediti lo vedo più come un si siano accordati bene per una percentuale che segno di un qualche imput creativo ma in ogni caso è quello che è buono siano tutelati che non è cosa di tutti i giorni con il sorcio

The Disney thing did not affect the movie at all in terms of its content, that's why I'm excited for this trailer to come out. And for people who were worried that was this gonna be PG-13, or was it gonna be 'Disney-Made-Predator.' It was a 20th Century movie throughout the entire experience. And then Disney has been awesome in receiving the reins of it and now delivering it out into the world, but there was never any mandate from them. I was terrified of some of the wording we had in the script and when they read it, I was like, 'Oh no, are they gonna freak out over the descriptions of gore and stuff?' But, no. It is a brutal, intense, very R-rated movie. And I'm excited for that to be dispelled, that Disney's gonna do 'Disney Things.'

I teased a while ago that I took inspiration from the latest God of War video game, and those two things are in the trailer, one is his shield, that you see briefly. And the other is not a Predator gadget, but just the way that Nadu, wields her axe, she invents something very cool for that Tomahawk. And that comes from a mechanic in that video game. I think the shield is something super cool. There's a couple things that are the same, but even those things function slightly differently

I think our Predator in my mind, not only does he exist, you know, 300 years before, but I think in sci-fi movie terms, time moves very slowly. If the way that Star Wars functions or even Star Trek, you know, it's like 300 years. Ships aren't suddenly like so different. But I think this guy's perhaps from a different hemisphere of the planet and a little bit of a different breed. So even his look is a little new, it's familiar, but new. So I'm excited for people, even for diehard fans, to really see something they hadn't seen before.

We met him at the initial like costume (test), and he was who they found just as reference for that day. And then he came over and he was like 'I would do anything to be in this movie.' And it turned out, he really was like, one of the only people capable of pulling this off.
