Bad news for Prey 2 fans, as there is a high probability that Prey 2 won’t get released on this generation of consoles (and PCs). Back in March, we informed you about Prey 2′s rumored cancellation. According to those rumors, Bethesda had cancelled Prey 2′s development. That was based on the fact that the company had cancelled the Prey 2 event at this year’s GDC, and that they have not shown pretty much anything since the E3 footage.Bethesda responded back then and stated that the game is delayed to 2013 but not cancelled. According to the publisher, the delay was due to the fact that ‘game development has not progressed satisfactorily this past year, and the game does not currently meet our quality standards‘.

However, it seems that Bethesda has silently removed Prey 2 from its product line-up. A quick look at Bethesda’s official site proves these claims. Prey 2 is nowhere to be found. Prey 2 was in that page a while back, so this is definitely a game that was removed by Bethesda themselves. Not only that, but apart from that earlier statement, we have not heard anything new about this game. We don’t know whether Human Head is still working on it or not.

Prey 2 has vanished from Bethesda’s catalogue in a website relaunch, but the publisher says it’s nothing to worry about.
Although Human Head’s Prey sequel was listed on Bethesda’s marketing materials until recently, the refreshed website lists only Dishonored, DOOM 3: BFG Edition, and The Elder Scrolls Online among its upcoming titles.

“Since we had already announced it wasn’t coming out this year and we don’t have anything new to say on the game at this time, we simply didn’t think it’d be appropriate to include it on the new site launch. We chose instead to focus on the upcoming titles we are talking about”

Well that was quick. Pete Hines has just said on Twitter that he never stated that the game was cancelled. We are working on getting in contact with him to see what the status of Prey 2 really is. At this point, it’s safe to assume that the game is in hibernation, and set to be worked on at a later date.

Prey 2 May or May Not be Revealed on March 1st, Fans Receiving Screenshots in their Emails

Earlier this month a site popped up online that had a countdown in alien numbers, and was assumed to be Prey 2 related. The website has since been updated with Bethesda and Human Head logos. Subscribers have also reported receiving screenshots from the game in their emails.

Quelle immagini che hai postato fanno parte del video che hai postato, ed quello è un video del 2011 :sasa:

In pratica il sito Alien Noire, a chi si iscriveva ogni tot mandava una screenshot via mail di Prey2, ora quell immagini sembravano vere e inedite, invece si è andato a scoprire che sono solo frame dei video di IGN che hai postato sopra, e quindi questo manda tutto all'aria quel sito countdown sia vero, infatti un portavoce di Beteshda in una intervista ha detto che di quel sito non ne sa niente //content.invisioncic.com/a283374/emoticons/sisi.gif
