New development studio No Goblin will be working on a new game for PC and PlayStation 4 slated for first half of 2014, it has announced. The studio is based in Seattle and led by Dan Teasdale, who has worked on games like Rock Band and The Gunstringer at Harmonix and Twisted Pixel. Senior design and artist Panzer will also lend work to the studio. No Goblin will make games with inspiration from LucasArts and Nintendo games while applying sound gameplay mechanics along the way. They also promise they'll deliver original games with no free-to-play model or long, drawn out cutscenes. "Our goal at No Goblin is pretty clear: we’re going to continue the legacy of those before us in making truly original games that put replayable gameplay first. Our themes and settings aren’t tired fantasy goblin slaying or sci-fi laser technobabbling, there’s no free to play trickery, and there’s definitely no half-hour “interactive cinematics". We make games because we love games, and we hope that you’ll love our games too" Looks like you can look forward to another next-gen title on the PS4 sometime next year. Expect to hear more about their upcoming game soon. http://www.gametrailers.com/news-post/56692/new-studio-no-goblin-led-by-ex-twisted-pixel-dev-working-on-pcps4-title
