Hobby Japan revealed on Friday that Yuri Kitayama and Riv's Seirei Gensouki - Spirit Chronicles light novels are inspiring a television anime. The anime's official website revealed the cast and staff, a teaser trailer, and a visual, but not the premiere date.

Yamasaki is also penning the scripts alongside Mitsutaka Hirota, Megumu Sasano, and Yoshiko Nakamura.
