Shining Resonance Refrain is coming to the Americas and Europe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC this summer, Sega announced. It will cost 49.99 USD / $64.99 CAD.In Japan, Shining Resonance Refrain is due out for PlayStation 4 on March 29.

Remastered with New Refrain Mode

Shining Resonance Refrain remasters the original Shining Resonance, previously released on PlayStation 3 only in Japan, and features dual audio with English and Japanese voices. In addition to all of the original’s DLC, now included as part of the base “Original Mode,” Shining Resonance Refrain packs a new “Refrain Mode,” unlocking the Imperial Princess Excella and Dragonslayer Jinas as party members for a new experience – just be sure to save this for your second playthrough to avoid any spoilers!

With real-time action combat, it will be important to utilize each party member’s unique abilities and strengths while deepening relationships with each character. Through events and dates, get to know your party members to unlock their full potential on the battlefield! Depending on the bonds of the characters, “Resonance” may occur between them, providing a new level of support, leading to victory.

Master the B.A.N.D. System

Dragoneers wield Armonics, ancient weapon-instruments, in order to perform mystical and powerful Rune Songs. Once you build enough BPM (Battle Performance Mana), your party will be able to perform a session through the B.A.N.D. system. Depending on which song you play and which character you set at the center, your party will be able to indulge in various beneficial effects. Certain characters may even perform the song in a special costume!

Draconic Launch Edition

Those who purchase the launch edition of Shining Resonance Refrain on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, will receive the game in a collectible metal slipcase, featuring character artwork of Excella, Sonia, and Kirika.

Yuma has the soul of the Shining Dragon within him, transforming into the ancient beast by unleashing the power conducted through his sword. Sonia, princess of Astoria, launches a rescue mission with the help of the Dragoneers. Hearing about the plight of Astoria and their fight to save their land, Yuma decides to aid them. Typically timid, will he find the courage to realize the strength he has within him?

During a live broadcast hosted today, Sega provided some interesting information on the upcoming Shining Resonance remaster Shining Resonance Refrain, that has been recently announced for the west.
First of all, we learned that the game won’t be censored, no cuts have been made for the western version, and nothing has been omitted from the original. This is certainly reassuring considering that there are plenty of bikinis and revealing outfits, and Tony Taka’s style is pretty suggestive.

We also heard that a demo is likely to be coming, even if Sega’s team is still checking with the production team to make sure about the timing of the release. On top of that, we heard that all the release dates that have been floating on retailers’ websites are placeholders. For now “summer” is the only window we should take seriously.

Speaking about the release, we also heard that Sega is targeting a simultaneous release on consoles and Steam.

Sega is also working on optimization at the moment. The game will run at 1080p resolution on Nintendo Switch in docked mode, but the frame rate is still to be determined.

We got the confirmation that the same cutscenes that have voice acting in Japanese will do in English. Those that don’t have in Japanese, won’t in English as well. All songs will be kept in Japanese and won’t have an English equivalent.

Un paio di giorni fa han fatto un livestream... 6 ore di video quasi tutte di gameplay. :morristend:

Il video guadagna punti extra quando la tipa solleva il pareo dell'action figure. Marketing estremo. XD
