You can use Supporter Commands to call non-combatant characters in action, and this won’t end your turn. You can even use them after performing your action for that specific turn.

Supporter Commands are shared among all friendly units and using them consumes S-SP (Supporter SP), which are also shared. This value starts with the gauge half-full at the beginning of a level, and charges by five points at the start of the player’s turn.

More Supporter Commands become available as the story progresses.

TAC Management lets you apply different effects between missions. Each has a grade from 0 to 6, and each grade applies three effects.

Suborders let you execute certain missions to gain experience and funds.

Skill learning lets you consume Tactical Points to improve a special skill on a pilot. There are 30 of these skills that can be learned.

Uscito un aggiornamento per Super Robot Wars T per PS4 e Switch, disponibile in inglese in versione asiatica.

L'aggiornamento aggiunge super expert difficulty, strengthened EX skills, new Super Ace Pilot status, higher stat, level, and customization caps.

This is a first in the Super Robot Wars series. Bandai Namco launched on May 23 a free update for Super Robot Wars T, upgrading the game to version 1.03. This update adds a new difficulty called Super Expert Mode. The update also adds many game system changes, like new skills and higher level and stats limits. Lastly, a new paid DLC was released today, adding two new bonus scenarios.

Super Expert Mode is available even without clearing the game and can be activated at any time in the game’s system menu. This new difficulty is geared for veteran players, those who already cleared Super Robot Wars T‘s Expert Mode. Enemies in this mode have even higher stats, customizations levels and kill counts than in Expert Mode. This means that enemies with Ace Bonuses and Customization Bonuses appear right from the start of the game. Like in Expert, SR points are earned as you clear maps without a game over, and the difficulty is always on Hard.

This update also added multiple changes to the game:

  • Most Skill Programs learnable by pilots now have an EX, stronger and more expensive version.
  • Pilots with more than 300 kills will obtain the Super Ace Pilot status. Super Ace status enhances a pilot’s Ace Bonus, grants them another +5 Morale when sortied, and makes them earn 30% more funds when shooting down enemies.
  • Pilot level limit was raised from Level 99 to Level 200
  • Pilot stats limit was raised from 400 to 999
  • Mecha units’ stats and weapon damage can now be customized up to twenty notches, right from your first playthrough (10 notches used to be the normal limit, with 15 notches unlocking starting the third playthrough)
I play Super Robot Wars games at a very slow pace, savoring the scenario, watching anime featured in the game, and enjoying seeing new attack animations for the first time instead of watching them on YouTube. As such, I’m only at stage 29 of my first playthrough of SRW T, on Expert Mode. The game is perfect as of now, and very well balanced for those like me who like to use every unit and balance their kill counts.

This new Super Expert Mode looks even more perfect for subsequent new game + runs to unlock more secrets, and I’m looking forward to trying it out. Many old-time Super Robot Wars players tend to replay the games multiple times and max their favorite character’s stats and kill count, so Super Expert is great for that.

Producer Terada recently revealed that Super Robot Wars T‘s Asian versions are selling extremely well, even more than the Japanese version. He also spoke about what might come next for the franchise.

Il 27 giugno uscirà un expansion pack per Super Robot Wars T, che aggiungerà 20 nuovi stage post-game e altro.

Prologue

It has been a few months since the war that shook the solar system. While the prospect of another golden age fills the world with hope, in the shadows another great evil begins to stir…

The Expansion Pack is a new story that adds 20 new stages including route splits (14 playable total in each playthrough). The Expansion Scenario is a challenging story playable by carrying over clear data from the main game. You carry over just about everything from the carried over save, except for SR points and total turn count.

In the Expansion Scenario, the Original Generation characters and mecha from Super Robot Wars V and Super Robot Wars X will appear and be playable.

After choosing ‘Expansion Pack’ on the title screen, and your carried over save data, you can choose the Custom Rank between Basic, Super, and Hyper, which are essentially difficulty options. This is changeable in the Options menu during Intermissions.

  • Basic Custom: The basic difficulty of the Expansion Scenario, with enemy difficulty changing between Hard and Normal like in the main game. This difficulty is appropriate for those people who are carrying over a save with only one playthrough.
  • Super Custom: While enemy difficulty changes between Hard and Normal, enemies are overall upgraded further, and enemy pilots upgraded as well. It’s a Custom Rank difficulty for those carrying over saves with more than one playthrough on them.
  • Hyper Custom: Same as Super Custom, but with even more upgraded enemies. By playing Hyper Custom alongside the Super Expert difficulty, you can experience the highest difficulty Super Robot Wars T has to offer.

After choosing your Custom Rank, you are brought to the Intermission screen, with your mecha, characters, funds, and TacP intact as of clearing the game. As usual, you can change equipped parts, upgrade the mecha, and more, and clicking ‘Next Chapter’ will bring you into the Expansion Scenario.
