Sinossi
Dopo dodici anni in cui è vissuta sulla Terra tenendo celata la sua vera identità, Kara Zor-El decide di iniziare ad usare i suoi poteri per proteggere i cittadini della sua città, National City. Entra quindi a far parte della segreta organizzazione guidata da Hank Henshaw, per la quale già lavora la sorella, provando a coniugare la normale vita quotidiana con la sua nuova identità da eroina. nei panni di Kara Denvers lavora per Cat Grant alla CatCo World wide media come assistente e per quanto il suo capo sembri cinica e totalmente indifferente alle situazione della sua assistente, in realtà funge da mentore e spesso si preoccupa per lei. quando indossa il costume di supergirl invece aiuta il DEO (organizzazione segreta di cui si parlava prima) a catturare alcuni fuorilegge alieni fuggiti da una prigione spaziale che è arrivata insieme alla navicella con cui è arrivata Kara, e talvolta si occupano, quando necessario, di salvare la città da criminaliterrestri dotati di particolari abilità.

Supergirl Takes Flight With TV Series From Greg Berlanti & Ali Adler
On the heels of the success of Arrow and the strong buzz for its upcoming offshoot The Flash — both co-created and executive produced by Greg Berlanti — the top producer is looking to transition another popular DC superhero character to the small screen. I’ve learned that Berlanti has teamed with Ali Adler, who worked on his ABC series No Ordinary Family, for a TV series based on Supergirl. Warner Bros. TV, which is behind all DC TV series, will produce with Berlanti’s studio-based Berlanti Prods..

I hear the project, which is still in development, will be a new interpretation of the Supergirl character and her story. Adler will write the script and will executive produce with Berlanti Prods.’ Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. DC’s Geoff Johns, who has been involved in both Arrow and The Flash, is also expected to be part of the project but it is unclear at this time what his role will be. The Supergirl show doesn’t have a name yet. I hear the producers are considering several options that need to be cleared, including Super and Girl. The project is expected to be taken out in a couple of weeks and pitched to the major networks the way WBTV and DC did with their high profile Batman prequel Gotham, which landed at Fox with a big commitment. The Supergirl series had been in the works at WBTV for some time with Berlanti and Adler. Contrary to a report that was picked up by a number of outlets, Michael Green has had no involvement in the project.

The Supergirl character was created by writer Otto Binder and designed by artist Al Plastino in 1959. There had been several characters that had assumed the caped girl persona, most notably Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El, who shares his super powers and vulnerability to Kryptonite. There has been a push to get more female superhero characters in comic books and on the big and small screens. Marvel has a Jessica Jones series in pre-production at Netflix.

There will be four DC/WBTV series on the air this coming season, Gotham on Fox, the CW’s Arrow and The Flash on the CW and Constantine on NBC. In addition to Arrow and The Flash, Berlanti has new NBC crime dramedy The Mysteries Of Laura, and his company just sold conspiracy thriller Blindspot to NBC. Berlanti and Adler are repped by WME.

quindi in realtà Green non sarebbe coinvolto nel progetto.

le redini sarebbero in mano a Greg Berlanti (co-creatore e produttore esecutivo di Flash) ed Ali Adler, noto per No Ordinary Family della ABC. inoltre pare confermata la supervisione di mastro Geoff Johns, così come accaduto per Arrow e Flash.

il nome ancora non c'è, si sta valutando "Super", "Girl" o altro.

tra un paio di settimane dovrebbero presentare il progetto ai network per vedere chi sarebbe interessato, quindi attualmente non è dato sapere se finira sulla CW (il che aumenterebbe di molto le speranze di una condivisione dell'universo di Flash ed Arrow), su Fox (come accaduto per il caso Gotham), su NBC (vedi Constantine) o su un'altra emittente (dubito andrà mai alla ABC, per forza di cose //content.invisioncic.com/a283374/emoticons/emoticons_dent1005.gif).

I nomi sono buoni però sinceramente non capisco come possano fare una serie su Supergirl senza collegarlo con altri, dovrebbero per forza di cose stravolgerne le origini. Tra l'altro in Man Of Steel c'era un easter egg su Kara e la stessa appariva nel fumetto/prequel quindi una Kara nell'universo cinematografico ci sta, io spero sia la stessa //content.invisioncic.com/a283374/emoticons/tongue.png

 
While speaking with CBR News at PaleyFest 2014, "Arrow" and "The Flash" executive producer Greg Berlanti confirmed that the rumored "Supergirl" television series is indeed in development, but it's currently at very early stages, with Berlanti stating he was "not allowed" to discuss any details about the project.
"We're just starting to work on it," Berlanti told CBR News. "We haven't gone to the networks yet, so. I'll be happy, very excited to talk about it once we know where its home will be and that kind of stuff, but not at this moment. "

tra i network principali, era l'unica senza una serie supereroistica //content.invisioncic.com/a283374/emoticons/emoticons_dent1005.gif in effetti era la più papabile a prenderla. //content.invisioncic.com/a283374/emoticons/sisi.gif

resterà da vedere se riuscirà a condividere l'universo con Arrow/Flash oppure no. le news non lo escludono... però sarà molto molto MOLTO dura.
