Tales of Berseria PS4 Demo Announced for Japan; Coming August 4th

Bandai Namco announced today that PS4 users are soon going to get a nice treat, at least if they have a Japanese PSN account.

Tales of Berseria is going to get a Japanese demo on PS4, releasing for everyone on August 4th.

The demo appears to be the same showcased at various events, including a scenario mode and a battle mode, focused story and combat respectively.

Tales of Berseria, will be released on August 18th in Japan for PS4 and PS3, and early next year in the west for PS4 and PC. At the moment there is no word on a western version of the demo.

Today Bandai Namco released a brand new trailer and a batch of screenshots of Tales of Berseria, that will be released on August 18th in Japan for PS4 and PS3, and early next year in the west for PS4 and PC.

Since the game isn’t out yet, what’s better than getting a look at the second wave of DLC?

Quelle acconciature DLC sono brutte assai ma è carina l'idea di farla cambiare.

Quel bambino a me sembra abbastanza inquietante. Quando gira la testa nel video sembra impossessato.

 
Imho se lasciassero gli stessi prezzi ma creassero molti più costumi gli andrebbe molto meglio.

In altre parole: non più 3 pacchi da 4€ ciascuno con 1 costume all'interno, ma 3 pacchi da 4€ ciascuno, con 20 costumi dentro.

Parliamoci chiaro: un costume gli costerà probabilmente 6 minuti di lavoro e 4 spiccioli. Crearne di più non dvrebbe essere un problema. E il pacchetto alletterebbe molta più utenza, imho.

Questa volta il titolo di punta è Tales of Berseria, confermando come gli RPG di varia tipologia, ma di impronta puramente nipponica, siano sempre al centro dell'attenzione in quel del Giappone. Il nuovo RPG di Namco conquista lo stesso voto di Etrian Odyssey V, peraltro, ovvero un bel 35/40, mentre segnaliamo anche le ottime performance di Ratchet & Clank (34/40) e Collar X Malice (33/40).

Al di là di Famitsu, sono assai curioso di vedere le opinioni dei giocatori giappi.

 
Io sono curioso di conoscere le vendite e vedere se Zestiria ha avuto qualche influenza su Berseria. Mi dispiacerebbe un calo visto quanto mi sembra ispirato quest'ultimo capitolo.

Zestiria lo sto giocando in questi giorni, devo dire che mi ha appassionato parecchio, anche se a livello di BS Xillia lo ritengo meglio. IMHO

Here are the comments of the reviewers on the game:
9 points: There isn't anything particularly innovative in the new battle system, but it is high-level as a whole. It's easy to dish out combos in battle, plus it's interesting to take down enemies with the Break Soul system.

9 points: The story that Velvet's character paints really shakes the heart, to the point that it draws you in. You can freely move the camera as you please in battle.

8 points: In all aspects of the game's system, it really feels like it's reached its highest peak in terms of maturity of the series. However, I feel that it could have brought out a bit more of the PS4's power...

9 points: I was confused at first, but it's fun once you understand the battle system. The main character's circumstances and the people surrounding her differ greatly that it makes me recall some uncomfortable moments, but it's interesting on its own.

The magazine also mentions that completing the game's main scenario would total 40 hours. If you complete everything else including sidequests, it would total 80 hours of gameplay.

To compare, Tales of Berseria scored the same as Tales of Xillia 2, which also got 35/40 (9/9/8/9) and Tales of Vesperia for the Xbox 360, which got (9/9/9/8). It's one point below Tales of Zestiria at 36/40 (10/9/9/8). The higest-scoring Tales game so far from Famitsu is Tales of Xillia, which got 39/40 (10/9/10/10).

Vabbè è l'ennessimo tales of leggero e godibile, sono giochi divertenti dove non serve pensare. Chissà se in futuro alzeranno mai l'asticella.

A parte che è un cross gen, a parte che i jappi son sempre indietro una gen, ed a parte che è lo stesso gioco ma a 1080p/60, direi che poteva sfruttare meglio anche Ps3,altro che ps4.
