Aggiornamento sulla distribuzione delle copie fisiche di Repentance
We understand that some of you have been waiting a long time for your physical copy of The Binding of Isaac: Repentance to ship, so we wanted to give you an update and explain some of the reasons for the delay that were out of our control.
First, there were some production issues with the Leviathan Box outer sleeve. There are embossed areas on both the front and the back of the box, and the embossing was just not prominent enough. (When you see the back of the box, you'll understand why this is important!)
After several tries, we finally received a production sample that was up to the standards that Isaac fans deserve. This was the last element of the package to be manufactured, and we were preparing to announce a release date at last. Then, a true disaster struck.
Somewhere between our offices and the facility that assembles our physical products, something happened to two large shipping boxes containing all of the Four Souls promo cards that were supposed to be included with the game.
One of the boxes arrived severely damaged, with several thousand cards missing; the remnants of the box contained only a few hundred undamaged cards. The other box never arrived, and we still have yet to receive an explanation from FedEx.
We quickly reached out to Maestro Media and asked to replace the lost Four Souls cards. Since they were limited-edition promos, there were no extras in stock; they needed to be reprinted, and the factory that prints them was unavailable to do so in a timely fashion.
We worked with Maestro to try to find another printer that could do the job, but none of the available vendors could match the materials, colors and process that produces official Four Souls cards.
As we continued to search for a solution, the original vendor eventually found an opening in their schedule to produce another print run of the lost promo cards. We are pleased to report that the cards are being reprinted now.
As soon as all the final elements arrive safely at the assembly facility, we will be able to announce an official ship date for The Binding of Isaac: Repentance. We expect to make that announcement very soon, and we thank you very much for your patience and understanding.
