PS4 The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II

The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki has been released in Japan just a month ago, but looks like we won’t have to wait too long for a new Legend of Heroes game, as Nihon Falcom’s President Toshihiro Kondo stated in an interview on the Japanese Play Community. Kondo-san mentioned that in June next year the company will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Legend of Heroes series, and the team is working “around the clock” on a new project targeting that release window. In addition to that, he also stated that he felt the great response to the PS4, the new PS Vita and the PS Vita TV at Tokyo Game Show, and that gives him motivation as a developer. He definitely wants to “challenge” the new hardware. Kondo-san is also considering plans involving the interaction between the different Sony consoles and that excites him as both an user and a developer. Of course we don’t know if the game scheduled for next year is going to be on PS4, or the plans to challenge the new consoles will come to fruition further down the line, but as a fan of the Legend of Heroes series, it’s hard not to be excited.

A sequel to The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki is coming to PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in 2014 as part of the Kiseki series’ 10th anniversary, Falcom announced.
The game offers large enhancements in all areas, according to Falcom, including the battle system, event direction, operability, and usability.
