The official website for the television anime of Ken Wakui's Tokyo Revengers manga posted the first full promotional video and character designs on Wednesday. The video announced the anime's main cast, main staff, and April 2021 premiere.

The anime stars:

Yūki Shin as Takemichi Hanagaki (present day on the left, past self on the right)

Azumi Waki as Hinata Tachibana

Ryota Ohsaka as Naoto Tachibana

Yuu Hayashi as Manjirō "Mikey" Sano

Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Ken "Doraken" Ryūgūji

Koichi Hatsumi (Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I - The Egg of the King, Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga, Deadman Wonderland, Gangsta.) is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS, and Yasuyuki Muto (Basilisk, Deadman Wonderland, Sengoku Basara - Samurai Kings) is in charge of the series scripts. Kenichi Ohnuki (Golden Kamuy, Gundam Build Fighters) and Keiko Ōta (Ace Attorney, Hyakko) are designing the characters. Satoki Iida is directing the sound, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi (Children of the Whales, Dr. Stone, Jujutsu Kaisen) is composing the music.

Kodansha Comics is publishing the manga digitally in English, and it describes the story:

Watching the news, Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his girlfriend from way back in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, has died. The only girlfriend he ever had was just killed by a villainous group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang. He lives in a crappy apartment with thin walls, and his six-years-younger boss treats him like an idiot. Plus, he's a complete and total virgin … At the height of his rock-bottom life, he suddenly time-leaps twelve years back to his middle school days!! To save Hinata, and change the life he spent running away, hopeless part-timer Takemichi must aim for the top of Kanto's most sinister delinquent gang!!

Live-Action Tokyo Revengers Film's Teaser Reveals July Opening

The official website for Warner Bros. Japan's live-action film of Ken Wakui's Tokyo Revengers manga began streaming a teaser trailer for the film on Monday. The video reveales the film's July opening date. Hiro Shimono, a prolific voice actor and self-professed fan of the original manga, narrates the teaser. The site also unveiled two new teaser visuals for the film.

The film was slated to open in Japan on October 9 last year, but was delayed to 2021 due to the effects of the spread of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Japan. The production halted filming in April due to COVID-19. Tsutomu Hanabusa (live-action Kakegurui, Miseinen dakedo Kodomo ja Nai) is directing the film.

The cast includes (from left to right in image above):

• Takumi Kitamura as Takemichi Hanagaki
• Yuki Yamada as Ken Ryūgūji
• Yosuke Sugino as Naoto Tachibana
• Nobuyuki Suzuki as Masataka Shimizu
• Hayato Isomura as Atsushi Sendō
• Shotaro Mamiya as Tetta Kisaki
• Ryō Yoshizawa as Manjirō Sano

Mio Imada (seen below) will play the role of heroine Hinata Tachibana in the film.

Gordon Maeda (left in image below) will play the character Takashi Mitsuya, the leader of the second squad of the Tokyo Manji Gang. Hiroya Shimizu (right) will play Shūji Hanma, a mysterious delinquent who works secretly with Kisaki.

Other additional cast members include Kazuki Horike as Takemichi's fellow street tough Haruki "Pa-chin" Hayashida, and Yoshiki Minato as Nobutaka Osanai, the leader of the Moebius gang.

Warner Bros. Japan announced the film in February.

Può uscirne l'anime definitivo sui delinquenti/teppisti. (con contorno scifi)

Non capisco il senso di censurare il manji nel titolo per poi lasciarlo nei vestiti.

Sicuramente l'adattamento anime potrebbe essere molto interessante.

Tokyo Revengers Anime Reveals More Cast, Ending Song Artist, April 10 Debut

The official website for the television anime of Ken Wakui's Tokyo Revengers manga announced on Friday new cast members, the ending theme song's artist, and the April 10 premiere. The artist eill is performing the ending theme song "Koko de Iki o Shite." (Take a Breath Here). The anime will debut on the MBS channel on April 10 at 1:35 a.m. JST (effectively, April 11). The anime will then air on TV Tokyo, TV Aichi, TV Hokkaido, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting on April 11. The anime will also run on BS Asahi on April 18, AT-X on April 12, San-in Chūō Television Broadcasting on April 14, Ryukyu Asahi Broadcasting on April 15, and RKK Kumamoto Broadcasting on April 23.

The newly announced cast for the gang members during Takemichi's middle school years includes:

Takuma Terashima as Atsushi "Akkun" Sendо̄

Yūya Hirose as Takuya Yamamoto

Shunsuke Takeuchi as Makoto Suzuki

Shouta Hayama as Kazushi Yamagishi

In addition, Satoshi Hino will play Masataka "Kiyomasa" Kiyomizu.

Tokyo Revengers Anime's 2nd Video Unveils Official HiGE DANDISM Song, More Cast

The official website for the television anime of Ken Wakui's Tokyo Revengers manga posted the second promotional video and a new key visual on Friday. The video announces and previews the opening theme song "Cry Baby" by the group Official HiGE DANdism, and it also announces seven new cast members.

The newly announced cast members, including those for the top lieutenants in the Tokyo Manji Gang, are:

Tokyo Revengers Anime Casts Showtaro Morikubo, Takuya Eguchi

The official website for the television anime of Ken Wakui's Tokyo Revengers manga revealed on Tuesday two new cast members and information on the series' newly opened YouTube channel. The newly announced cast members are:

Showtaro Morikubo as Tetta Kisaki, a man shrouded in mystery

Takuya Eguchi as Shuji Hanma, a man with a tattoo of "crime" on his left hand and "punishment" on his right

The series' new YouTube channel will stream three new programs. The mini-anime ChibiReve will depict the daily lives of the Tokyo Manji gang. The mini-anime will premiere on April 12, and new episodes will launch on Mondays. Wakui is supervising the anime. Yūki Shin, who plays the protagonist Takemichi Hanagaki, will star in the second planned program Yū-Chū-Bu (a Japanese wordplay on YouTube) in which he lives up to the name "Crybaby Hero." The program will premiere on April 3 at 6:00 p.m. JST, and it will stream every other Saturday. The series will also have a Tokyo Revengers Ra-Ji-O (wordplay on radio) show on the internet radio station "Otoizumi" and on YouTube. Voice actor Shin will be the host, and other actors will be guests and monthly radio personalities. Ryota Ohsaka. who plays Naoto Tachibana, will serve as the monthly personality for April. The radio show will debut on April 10 at 6:00 p.m. JST, and new shows will launch every other Saturday.

avendo il manga fresco apprezzo ancora meglio il lavoro e la buona resa del tutto. non si è visto praticamente nulla, sia di trama che di personaggi, ma le premesse sono molto valide

tecnicamente lo trovo penoso, non rende per niente giustizia al manga. Droppato.

Il manga artisticamente è oltremodo niente di che, l'autore è discretamente peggiorato nel tempo ma probabilmente sono i ritmi settimanali.

Sfigato viaggia nel tempo rivivendo il suo passato, dovrà infiltrarsi nelle bande locali per evitare futuri terribili.

Certamente un adattamento molto curato, del resto è uno dei manga primari di shonen magazine, si vede che ci puntano.

finalmente in scena mikey e draken, e le cose cominciano a movimentarsi anche nel passato, attendo il prossimo episodio
anche se col manga in italia siamo ancora un po' più avanti

quella frase è un po' anticlimatica, vero, però ci sono vari elementi da considerare (e tutti non li conosciamo ancora) che magari lo portano a sospettare della cosa. per quanto assurda possa essere
non dimentichiamo che già qui hina inizia ad avere dei sospetti, anche se lo interpreta semplicemente come cambiamento in positivo di takemichi

è molto strano che il rosso pensi subito al viaggiare nel tempo, ma ogni volta che lui va nel passato cambia il futuro, quindi tutto può essere.

In teoria dopo ogni viaggio non dovrebbero cambiare solo gli altri, ma anche lui (per esempio, non essendo più schiavetto ma amico del boss, non dovrebbe più abbandonare tutti ecc ecc), ma diventerebbe abbastanza intricata come storia, quindi dubito che ci sarà questa piega, peccato.

Mi chiedo come abbia fatto il fratello a non salvare la sorella, sa giorno data e motivo, tenerla a casa quella sera era troppo difficile?

verrà spiegato meglio tra poco, ma qualche indizio l'ha dato hina: non c'è una sovrapposizione di personalità tra passato e presente, ne sovrascrittura dei ricordi, le due coscienze di takemichi dovrebbero essere sempre distinte. la sua condizione sarà cambiata, ma quando torna nel presente, è presumibile che il suo sè del passato si trovi spaesato e all'oscuro dei fatti.

riguardo naoto, (qui non so niente) possibile che non possa far nulla, magari è come in steins;gate, e cioè che finchè non fai l'azione giusta nel passato, il presente non può essere modificato. senza considerare che ad ora non sappiamo come accada di preciso
