Aggiornamento importante.
Quick update on the Persona 1 Remake leak, the video and the whole channel that uploaded it on YouTube are now privated.

The channel name has also changed from "P1REMAKE" to "deleteai", so the speculation now has shifted to the possibility that this might be coming from an angry employee as some sort of protest.

It might just be that the development team is starting to embrace the use of AI, something that has become more normalized in the industry especially in Japan too. And the employee is probably making use of the footage of a very early pitch of the Persona 1 Remake as a protest tool.

Regardless of what you feel about AI, I feel like we're at a point where it's hard to tell whether a certain project is using it in an extensive way or not, since it won't always be obvious in the final game, unless a dev decides to just use raw generated assets without any shame. It's always a case by case.

But of course all of this is just pure speculation. And as I said before, Atlus has already expressed interest multiple times in remaking P1 and P2. So even if this leak ends up being fake, the idea of remaking these games is still very much on the table for them. For now at least we have Persona 4 Revival and Persona 6 to look forward to.
