Secrets:

  1. In the first area are two stairways leading up; take either one. When you approach the top, the wall in front of you starts to lower. Wait until they all lower completely. Try to cross over to the teleporter from the highest portion of the stairs, and the floors will lower a little more. Drop down to the right. There is a patch of wall to left that doesn't match the surrounding texture. Open it and flip the switch. Now make your way to the opposite side of the raised teleporter platform. A secret blue alcove containing a berserk pack will have opened.
  2. At the west end of the outdoor area is a raised tower. To get it, take the large teleporter in front of it. At the top is a raised platform with a soul sphere on top in a small room, which is surrounded by a balcony. As you walk along the balcony, you'll hear a floor lower. Run back into the soul sphere room, where the powerup has been temporarily lowered. Pick it up to register the secret.
  3. On the "island" in the middle of the lava lake is a gray brick cube with a switch on its back side. Flip the switch, but instead of entering the teleporter it lowers, run around to the opposite site of the cube, where another lift has lowered, this one letting you reach the invulnerability sphere on top.
  4. In the area at the east side of the map is a dark room with six columns in a lava pit. The center column of the northern row (the one with lights at its base) has a broken pipe on its northern side. Press use on the broken pipe, and it will open a secret room at the very east end of the room, across the bridge. There is another soul sphere inside.

Walkthrough:

There are 2 outside areas: one with the red key and another near the big room.

Secrets:

  1. At the very beginning of the level, turn 90 degrees left and press use on the wall of the alcove you stand in to open the door behind you. Inside is a chainsaw.
  2. In the large dark room with two cages on either side and an altar in the back of the room, shoot the western cage with the super shotgun from a distance. This causes a room in the southeast corner of this room to open. Behind it is a switch that lowers the altar.
  3. Upon arriving in the large room with four columns that overlooks the red keycard, go into the smaller room in the southwest corner and press the use key on the back wall, between the two electric lamps. A lift will lower, taking you down to a soul sphere.
  4. At the east end of the four-columned room is a wall with a lightning-bolt symbol on it; open it to reveal a secret passage. Accessing this secret is necessary to finish the level.

Secrets:

  1. After getting the red key, you'll see a narrow hallway through a window to the right. Press the use key against the window to lower it, letting you access the hallway. There is a blur sphere at the opposite end.
  2. In the same room as the first red switch (at the west end of the map) is a wall with flashing blue lights. Lower the wall with the lights like a lift to be taken up to a secret cache.
  3. At the south end of the map is a long hallway with a series of silver doors you must open before getting a backpack on a pedestal at the end. When you pick up the backpack, several alcoves open in the hall behind you, releasing enemies. One of these alcoves has a triangle on its back wall; open it to access a secret area.
  4. At one end of secret #3 is a second triangle on the wall; it acts as a lift up to a secret-in-a-secret, at the end of which you'll find a berserk pack.
  5. At the north-northeast corner of the map is a room with a square sunken nukage pool. On the ledge in the southeast corner of the pool are two red lights visible in the walls. Open the wall between the lights to access a secret room
  6. See secret #5 (the door and room sectors are both tagged as secret).
  7. At the eastern end of the aforementioned nukage pool room is a silver alcove; step in to be taken down to a new area. In this green room, open the wall to the right (with yellow lights along the bottom) to activate another lift up to a secret area with two teleporters in it.
  8. Inside secret #7 is a sunken brown floor alongside an "L"-shaped computer terminal. Stepping onto it registers a secret.
  9. While still in secret #7, take the right-hand teleporter. It takes you to the raised area back in the green room.
  10. Return to secret #7 once more, and take the left-hand teleporter. It takes you to a secret corridor all the way back near the level's start.
  11. In the stairway leading up to the room containing the exit door, there is a wall with two blue triangles on it. Open it up to reach the last secret.

Secrets:

  1. Upon entering the elevator shaft in the first building of the level, open the wall to the south before the lift rises. There is a short staircase leading up to a backpack, each step of which counts as a secret for some reason.
  2. One of the steps leading to secret #4.
  3. One of the steps leading to secret #4.
  4. The sector the backpack lies on.
  5. Open the wall behind the backpack to access the "enemy window" in the previous room.

Secrets:

(1) The inside of the large warehouse building in the center of the map is divided into roughly three sections: the eastern and central sections are accessible through unlocked doors from the outside; while the western third of the building is locked by red and blue doors from both inside and out. The eastern and central thirds are connected by three short hallways between them. Enter the middle of the three hallways (at ground level). Halfway through the hallway is a wall with a yellow/black caution stripe along its bottom; open it up to reveal a secret area with a medikit and security armor.

(2) Inside secret #1, press the use key on the southern wall to lower it like a lift (the lift sector itself counts as the secret, but if you want 100% items, keep reading). Wait until the lift is about to go back up before you step onto it. A door will open in the southern of the three hallways; as soon as you reach the top of the lift, quickly open the brown door in front of you and run into the open room across the hall, where you'll find a megasphere. This door is only open for a very short time period, so it may take a few tries to reach.

(3) At the southern end of the outdoor area, you'll see a seemingly unreachable megasphere resting atop some crates. The only way to reach this powerup without cheating is to strategically utilize the nearby Arch-Vile's attack to throw yourself up there. Obviously, you'll need to be in good health to do so.

  1. After the maze-like area behind the red door, you'll find a silver wall with blue lights on it that lowers as a lift. Instead of passing through to the other side, ride the lift back up. At the top is an alcove with a berserk pack.

Secrets:

  1. In the starting room are a pair of barrels along the left wall; destroy them and open the wall behind them for a secret.
  2. Inside secret #1 are five alcoves with computers on the back walls. One of them has animated screens; open it to get a backpack.
  3. Across from the entrance to secret #1 in the starting room is a stack of crates; lower them to gain access to the outside area.
  4. After ascending the first set of stairs in the level, you'll arrive in a hallway with a bank of computers on either side. A section of the wall on the right (east) bank opens, revealing a secret room with a security armor.
  5. A bit beyond secret #4 is a room with some crates and an L-shaped raised ledge. A section of one of the computer walls here opens as well.
  6. After taking some teleporters from the large outside area, you'll arrive at a U-shaped brown metal hallway with white teleporters at either end. The inside wall about halfway through this hall has a lightning-bolt symbol on it; open in for the last secret.

Secrets:

  1. Just east of the starting area are two nearly identical rooms with rivulets of blood and two small crushers on raised platforms each. There is a hallway running between these two rooms. Starting from the eastern room, run through the hallway and into the western room. A lift leading up to the southern crusher will have temporarily lowered straight ahead. Once up, cross to the other side by running under the crushers and over the gap, and you will arrive on a blue-floored lift taking you down into a secret tunnel.
  2. In the southern part of the map, there is a room with four large raised vats of blood underneath huge crushers. Ride the lift up to the northwestern one and run to the back of it. About halfway there, the wall in front of you will open, revealing a secret passage leading back to the starting area.
  3. Back in the room with the four vats, ride the lift up to the southwestern one, but this time shoot the center of the back wall rather than running to it. This will open a secret room in the southwest corner of this area containing a rocket launcher.
  4. Still in the room with four vats, ride the lift up to the southeastern one and shoot the center of this back wall as well. This opens a wall in the southeastern corner of the room with a switch behind it. The switch opens a secret area later in the level. After you have passed the area with several bleeding pillars and Lost Souls a bit further on, you will come across a C-shaped corridor. About halfway through you will see the ground is sunken - this was caused by the switch you hit earlier on. The area down below, which contains a soul sphere amongst other goodies, counts as a secret.

Secrets:

  1. At the southwest corner of the main building is a large open white room with a pool of water in the center. There is a doorway to the northeast. There is a misaligned wall just left of the doorway; open it to access a secret passage containing blur and invulnerability spheres.
  2. Go through the silver door just north of the circular room in the center of the main building. You will be in a roughly "Y"-shaped hallway. Open the wall in the bend on the left side of this hallway. You'll be in a tiny room with a window overlooking the outside. Open one of the grey hexagonal-tiled walls in this room to reveal a secret alcove with a of couple medikits.
  3. Return to the Y-shaped hall again. Directly across from the opening to secret #2 is another secret door. Behind it is another tiny room with a window overlooking the outside. Again, open one of the grey tiled walls to reveal some armor bonuses.
  4. Return to the Y-shaped hallway once more. Just north of the entrance to secret #3 is another secret door, and the only one in this room to have a misaligned texture. There is a long narrow corridor behind it. Before reaching the area of the corridor with oscillating lights, open the wall to the left to get a rocket launcher. Continue along the corridor until you reach the first switch, on the right-hand wall. Backtrack through the corridor a ways and you'll see that a red glowing alcove has appeared. Step into it to be teleported to a raised platform in the outdoor area surrounding the main building. Don't drop off this platform yet; instead, make your way around it to the other side, where you'll see a switch. Press it to lower the tall pillar in the center of the platform, making the blur sphere atop it accessible.
  5. At the north end of the main building is a room with a diamond-shaped bridge crossing a nukage pool. There is a "poison" sign in the southwest corner of the room; open it to get a backpack.
  6. Ride the lift in the southeast corner of the main building. Go up the stairs and continue along the path to the left. At the end of this narrow passage is a plasma rifle. There is a nearby wall (just southeast) with a misaligned texture; open it to reveal a berserk pack.
Secret Exit: Inside secret #6, open the southwestern wall to reveal a teleporter. Step in and you will be teleported to a hidden raised alcove in the side of the main building. Rather than dropping down from here, turn around and flip the switch, which takes you to the secret map MAP31: Pharaoh.

Secrets:

  1. The platform with the three wooden "enemy boxes" with Hell Knights in them (in the area at the east of the map with the circular pool of water with a soul sphere in it, accessed by opening the teleporter located in the starting area by pressing the yellow switch in the "throne room") counts as a secret, even though it's necessary to access it to complete the level.
  2. A bit past secret #1 is a switch that opens a door at the north end end of the large area with the circular water pool. Behind this door is a very long hallway, with a red torch at the end of the first stretch. Once you reach the torch, it looks like you can only go left, but instead go through the fake wall to the right to get to an area with a combat armor vest overlooking a courtyard.
Secret Exit: At the end of the level you will arrive at a large lake with a dock-like structure stretching out into it, with the exit visible off in the southwest corner. There is also a shed-like building at the north end of the lake; go into this instead. Once inside, open the back wall to reveal the switch to exit to the secret level, MAP32: Caribbean.

Secrets:

  1. Inside the central building of the first area, there is a large square room with a vaguely sun-shaped skylight. Surrounding this room is a narrower hallway. At the west end of the hallway is a wooden wall with a pair of vertical designs carved into it. Open the wall between the designs to reveal a small secret alcove.
  2. After getting the yellow skull key in the "sewer" area inside the main building, return to the room where you found the blue skull key. A large area to the east has opened up, letting you get a combat armor vest. Picking up the armor causes another nearby room to open, this one containing a switch. Flip the switch, then return outside. Head to the area north of the central building. There are two small "shacks" in the far east and west ends of the water. The eastern one requires the blue skull key to open, but the western one was opened by the switch you just pressed. Inside is a secret cache which includes a BFG.
  3. After crossing over the bridge raised using the blue skull key, an alcove will open back on the opposite side (in the wall of the central building).

Secrets:

  1. After passing through the first door, hug the wall to the left. When you come to a brightly-lit section of wall, open it to get a hidden box of ammo.
  2. Behind the blue door is a brown rocky path leading upwards. After following the stairs to the top, the path splits in two - go right, into the cave. Open the wall to the right (which is textured slightly different than the surrounding walls) to reveal a secret cave. Run to the back and wait until a BFG rises up from a crevasse in the ground, otherwise it will continue rising until it is unreachable.
  3. Return to the fork in the path from secret #2. This time go left, following the path alongside a cliff. When you reach the glowing red caves, immediately turn right and follow the narrow path until you reach a "window" looking out at a brown cave. Run northwest out of the window straight into the brown wall across from it, which is actually a false wall. You'll now be in a stone room with an Icon-of-Sin-faced wall. If you open this wall, a megasphere will be revealed.
  4. From secret #3, drop down into the previously mentioned brown cave area you jumped over to get here. The wall just southwest of here is colored slightly different than the surrounding ones. It's actually a lift; lower it and ride to the top. Continue through the door here and you'll arrive on a secret ledge overlooking the first outdoor area.
The following areas do not count towards your secrets, but are hidden and not required to complete the level:

  1. In the large basin on the far east of the map, there is a switch lowering a platform to get access to the raised surrounding area. Behind the platform is a small gray-marble area with two doors: a red-key one and a normal one. The rest of these steps get you the red key.
  2. Behind that door is a room with three raised-demon or lion emblems. The emblem on the right opens when you shoot it.
  3. the area revealed behind the emblem has a switch: this lowers a platform in the adjacent green room. Stepping onto that platform opens a door right next to the platform. A switch behind that door opens one of the other two emblems in the first room.
  4. Behind that emblem is a cavern ending in a switch. The switch lowers a column in the green room.
  5. behind the lowered column in the green room is another switch which lowers the platform opposite it. At the top of the platform is the red skull key.

Secrets:

Before you start hunting, open the door behind you at the start of the level to get a blur sphere.

  1. From the start, walk all the way to the opposite end of the grassy area and go through the grey door there. From here, hug the right wall until you reach a slightly different-textured wall. Open it to get to the ledge surrounding the grassy area, at the end of which is a super shotgun.
  2. In the room with the yellow keycard, there are two banks of computers. Pressing use on the shorter one causes a nearby floor to lower, letting you access the adjacent courtyard. There's a tall pillar with a soul sphere atop it in one corner of the courtyard; the longer computer bank in the previous room lowers it. So, to get the secret, use both banks before dropping into the courtyard, then run onto the soul sphere pillar before it lowers.
  3. After taking care of business in the room behind the blue door, pick up the plasma rifle on the circular blue platform in the center of the room. This opens a door elsewhere. Go back through the blue door, and continue east down the long corridor. Near the end you'll see an open wall on the left; enter it and go down the hallway to reach another secret courtyard area.
  4. Part of the hallway leading to the courtyard in secret #3. Pressing the switch in this yard opens the door directly across from the exit switch, letting you access yet another courtyard, this one containing a BFG.

Secrets:

  1. At the southwest corner of the lava lake, there is a ledge. To get there from the start of the level go through an eastern door and turn right, at the left wall of the hallway open a part with a different texture. At the end of the ledge you will find a teleporter leading to a cage near the start of the level with a rocket launcher.
  2. Inside the secret #1, find on the western wall a part with a different texture, open it and go through the hallway to get a soul sphere.
  3. In the blue rectangular part of the map with 4 switches in the center, go to the north-east lift, go up and open a differently textured wall (halfway to the silver wall protecting the yellow key) and go through the hallway, jump down and get a soul sphere.
  4. Behind the blue door, after you raise a bridge above lava leading to a switch on southern wall, jump down to the lava on the eastern side and go through a false wall to get a megasphere.
  5. After you turn the switch next to the yellow door, a chamber at the end of the rails will be opened and two round alcoves on both sides of the rails. Go to the eastern one end open the back wall. You will find an invisibility sphere at the top of the stairs.

Secrets:

  1. From the start of the level, go through the second door, turn left and go along the hallway. In the middle of a hallway's bent, open a part of a right wall lit up by the lights inside the opposite wall. A lift will take you to a soul sphere.
  2. Next to a dapper cabinet there is a control room with computer desk. Find a fake wall at the back of a seat to get a backpack.
  3. In the dapper cabinet with a yellow keycard go to the south-west corner and open the south wall. A lift will take you to a megasphere.
  4. The truck is parked next to a ramp. When you return to the ramp a ledge lowers, nearby the gate, where you can find a rocket launcher and some boxes of rockets.
The following areas do not count towards your secrets, but are hidden and not required to complete the level:

  1. In the dark room you can press the left button to turn the lights on. After you press a switch, in the north-east corner, run through the door and to the left to jump down to a small niche.
  2. At the end of a hallway from the secret #1 there is a door. Looking south from the door you can notice a corner with a different texture. It contains a hidden switch. Press it and run fast to reach a secret tunnel at the back of the dark room, beneath a ledge with a green armor.
  3. Opposite to the yellow door there is a stairway at the top of which you can notice a lit up part of a left wall. Open it to find a super shotgun with shells.

Secrets:

  1. Near the beginning of the level is a large, black-walled room with several desks in it. In this room is a teleporter pad; step through and you'll be taken to a nearby chamber with some crates in it. There is a series of small crates leading up to the top of a large wooden box with some shotgun shells on it. Open the wall of the adjacent crate (it has a "3" on it) to reveal a secret area. One of the walls inside this secret can open, letting you exit.
  2. Accessing secret #1 will cause one of the walls in the crate room to lower, revealing some armor and a computer map. The outcropping near these items has a red brick texture; lower it for a medikit. Ride the lift back up and you'll reach a secret area with a BFG. While standing at the top of the BFG's pedestal, you will see a gargoyle face on the wall far to the south. Shoot it to lower the nearby gate, letting you exit through the teleport in the gargoyle's alcove.
  3. In the nukage pool area containing the blue skull key, there is a metal-textured wall to the west. Open it and pass through the long tunnel (the seeming dead end is in fact a lift). You'll eventually come to a room with lava in it; the second tunnel leading out is tagged secret. It's impossible to complete this level without triggering this secret.
  4. The second half of the tunnel from secret #3 is also tagged secret and impossible to miss.
  5. Upon entering the room with the yellow skull key, you'll see the long, diagonal wall to your left lower before you can reach it. Simply open it back up to get the bulk cell it hides.
  6. Just around the corner from secret #5 (directly across from the yellow skull key itself) is another openable wall with a slightly different texture from the ones surrounding it. This one holds an invulnerability sphere.
  7. At the end of the level is a huge outdoor area with a number of fenced-in ledges surrounding a long river. While walking along the ledge, you'll have to take a lift up to the next ledge. If you ride it all the way to the top, you'll see a small alcove with a bulk cell in it. Open the damaged-looking wall in this alcove to reveal a teleport that lets you skip a decent portion of the ledge-traversing part of the level.

Secrets:

  1. In the office building, when you enter the balcony around the center slime pit, turn right, look at the south wall and open a section marked by a standing health bonus. Inside a lava room you can find a soul sphere or medikits.
  2. In the office building, when you get the yellow skull key on the northern lowered pillar in the slime pit, a new room becomes accessible in the western corridor. Find there a new corner marked by a picture on the wall and open it to get access to a room with a teleporter. The teleporter takes you to an L-shaped room with a ledge on western and southern sides. To get to the ledge sprint-jump from a top of the pyramid. Go through a fake wall on the eastern end of the ledge to get a BFG9000.
  3. There is a green fort in the middle of the outside area. Before going out from the building, open a wall on the right from the door to find a blue armor.
  4. The outside area is surrounded by the dark wall, of witch one section is marked by blue torches. Lower this section, get an invulnerability sphere and you will find yourself on top of the nearby rock.
The following areas do not count towards your secrets, but are hidden and not required to complete the level:

  • In the office building, next to the room with the teleporter from Secret #2, there is a room with a square window seen from the eastern corridor. Inside you can find a megasphere. If you get the megasphere, you will be teleported to a room in the northern part of the office building, where you can find an invulnerability sphere.

Secrets:

  1. Walk straight through the wall directly behind you at the start of the level to access a short hallway leading to a soul sphere.
  2. Picking up the soul sphere in secret 1 registers a second secret.
  3. After picking up the soul sphere in secret 2, the large crate in the starting area lowers for a short time, revealing a switch. Flip the switch before the crate raises again and a hole will open in the corner. Drop into the hole to get the BFG 9000.
  4. Walk through the falling nukage at the beginning of the level and a lift will take you down to a room where a chainsaw is visible. Open the northern green wall to access a brown tunnel system. When entering the tunnel, you will hear a door open. Return to the previous room and get the now-accessible chainsaw. The room the opens upon picking it up is tagged as secret.
  5. Once inside the tunnel, follow it to the east until you reach a fork. Go right, then left, and then straight through the next intersection. A wall will open up to the left just ahead of you. Go through this green hallway (A) and follow it to the end, where you'll arrive in the main tunnel system again. Once in the main tunnel, go right, and the wall in front of you will open. Continue through this second green hallway (B) until you see a narrow passage in the left wall. There are some health bonuses inside.
  6. Inside secret 5, there is one wall that stops just before reaching the floor. Walk straight through it. A lift with a red skull key (keycard in ZDoom) on it is inside; it is triggered by entering secret 5.
  7. On the opposite side of secret 5 is a third green hallway ©. If you entered hallway A, a connector will have opened between hallway C and a fourth green hallway (D). There are several armor bonuses and a yellow door in hallway D, though the connector itself is tagged as secret.
  8. Exit green hallway C through the eastern entrance. This opens another secret connector between hallways A and B.
  9. Behind the level exit is a red door. If you got the red skull key (keycard in ZDoom) in secret 6, open it and step through the teleporter to be taken to the bottom of the exit pit. Get the combat armor and go back through the teleporter, which triggers this secret.

Secrets:

  1. There are 4 rooms on the eastern side of the map, accessible from one corridor. You can find a library in one of rooms. Open it to get a medikit.
  2. In the room with the red key, open a panel on the northern wall, marked by a different texture.
  3. There is a cave located to the north and west from mining tunnels. In the middle of the cave there is a table with an invulnerability sphere. Sprint-jump on the table to get it.
