Otherside Picnic Sci-fi Yuri Anime Casts Rina Hidaka, Miyu Tomita

The official website for the television anime of Iori Miyazawa's Otherside Picnic (Urasekai Picnic) science fiction yuri novel series revealed two new cast members and a new visual for the anime on Thursday.

The new cast members include:



Rina Hidaka as Kozakura, an otherside researcher who lives outside Shakujii Park. She looks young enough that Sorao mistakes her for a grade schooler. She is a college friend of Satsuki Uruma, who has gone missing. She is willing to buy what Sorao and Toriko bring in from the otherside, and is somewhat of an expert on the otherside in general.

Miyu Tomita as Akari Seto, a freshman in Sorao's university. She practices karate, which earns her the nickname "karateka" from Sorao. She is in a constant positive mood, and is brimming with curiosity. When she has an encounter with the paranormal, she goes to Sorao for help.

Takuya Satō (Kase-san and Morning Glories, Steins;Gate, Fragtime) is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS and Felix Film, and he is also in charge of the series scripts. Ayumi Nishibata (Kuromukuro animation director) is the character designer and chief animation director. Kazutaka Ema is the creature designer. Hiroki Matsumoto is the art director, and You Iwaida is the color designer. Takeshi Kuchiba is the director of photography. Yūya Shiraishi is the 3D director. Masahiro Goto is the editor. Takeshi Watanabe (To Love-Ru, Saki ,Ro-Kyu-Bu!) is composing the music.

Yumiri Hanamori will voice Sorao Kamikoshi (left in visual right), and Ai Kayano will voice Toriko Nishina (right).

The anime will premiere in January 2021.

J-Novel Club is publishing the novel series digitally in English, and it describes the first volume.

Otherside Picnic Anime Reveals Theme Song Artists, January 4 Premiere

The official website for the television anime of Iori Miyazawa's Otherside Picnic (Urasekai Picnic) science fiction yuri novel series revealed on Saturday that the anime will premiere on January 4. The anime will air on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, BS11, and AT-X in Japan. The site also revealed that CHICO with Honeyworks will perform the opening theme song and Miki Satō will perform the ending theme song.

The anime stars:

• Yumiri Hanamori as Sorao Kamikoshi
• Ai Kayano as Toriko Nishina
• Rina Hidaka as Kozakura
• Miyu Tomita as Akari Seto

lol non ho più scritto di adashima
ormai siamo ad un episodio dalla fine, sono successe cose divertenti, cose pacate, cose strane, ma non è mai stato abbandonato il suo ritmo lento e riflessivo.
il che è un bene, perchè è rimasto fedele alle sue peculiarità, che lo differenziano un bel po' sia nel suo genere, che nei titoli sentimentali in generale. ma anche un male, perchè se non annunciano una seconda stagione al termine dei titoli di coda dell'ultimo episodio, bisognerà per forza passare alla novel

Otherside Picnic Anime's Ad Previews CHICO with Honeyworks' Opening Song

The official website for the television anime of Iori Miyazawa's Otherside Picnic (Urasekai Picnic) science fiction yuri novel series began streaming a commercial on Tuesday, and it previews CHICO with Honeyworks' opening theme song "Minikui Ikimono" (Ugly Creatures).

The anime will premiere in Japan on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, BS11, and AT-X on January 4. Funimation will stream the anime as it airs in Japan.
