The official website for the Zombie Land Saga television anime announced on Saturday that the anime is getting a sequel project titled Zombie Land Saga Revenge.

Avex Pictures is streaming a "kickoff movie" for the sequel starring actor Hakuryu.

Zombie Land Saga Anime Gets Stage Play in Spring 2020

The official website for the Zombie Land Saga anime series announced on Saturday that the anime is inspiring a stage play adaptation that will run in spring 2020. The stage play is titled Zombie Land Saga Stage de Do-n!. The official website for the stage play will announce the dates, venues, and performers on November 27.

The official website for the anime also announced that a live event for the franchise will be held at the Makuhari Messe event hall on March 8. The event is titled "Zombie Land Saga Live: Franshushu Live of the Dead." The franchise is also a getting a "Best of" album on November 27 featuring the show's theme songs and insert songs. The website revealed an all-new animated music video to advertise the album.

Zombie Land Saga Play Rescheduled for September

The official website for Zombie Land Saga Stage de Do-n!, the stage play inspired by the Zombie Land Saga anime series, revealed on Friday that the play is rescheduled for September 5-6. The play will have four performances at Sōgetsu Hall in Tokyo.



The website announced on February 21 that the stage play scheduled for March was canceled. The play was originally scheduled to run from March 11-14 at Sōgetsu Hall in Tokyo with seven performances.

Mamoru Miyano Teases Zombie Land Saga Sequel Info on January 1

The official Twitter account for the Zombie Land Saga television anime posted a teaser video featuring Mamoru Miyano, the voice actor for producer Kōtarō Tatsumi of the anime's idol group Franchouchou, on Monday. Miyano, who dresses up as his character Tatsumi again, teases that there will be an important announcement regarding Zombie Land Saga Revenge, the anime's sequel project, on January 1 at 12:00 a.m. JST (December 31 at 10:00 a.m. EST).
 
A "fateful promotional video" debuted at midnight on January 1 to announce that the Zombie Land Saga Revenge sequel project will premiere on television in April 2021.

In addition, Ai Kuroiwa is directing the 3D CG, and Momoko Mifune is the compositing director of photography. Yasuharu Takanashi and Funta7 are composing the music at Avex Pictures.

The season will premiere on Tokyo MX, AT-X, and other channels in April 2021. It will also exclusively stream on Amazon Prime Video and Abema in Japan before its television broadcast.

The "Zombie Land Saga Live ~Franchouchou Live of the Dead 'R (Revenge)'~" event announced information on the theme songs and the April 8 premiere for the Zombie Land Saga Revenge sequel project on Saturday. The in-story idol group Franchouchou is singing both the opening theme song "Taiga yo Tomo ni Naite Kure" (O Saga, Cry With Me) and the ending theme song "Yume o Te ni, Modoreru Basho mo Nai Hibi o" (Spending The Days With a Dream and Nowhere to Go Home). The songs will debut on CD on May 19, and the Blu-ray Disc release of Saturday's event will go on sale on May 28.

The anime will premiere first on the Amazon Prime Video service in Japan on April 8 at 11:15 p.m. It will then debut on the AT-X, Tokyo MX, Sun TV, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting Co., Ltd. Saga TV, and BS11 television channels, as well as on the Abema service in Japan.

Zombie Land Saga Gets 1st Side Story Manga in May

The official website for the Zombie Land Saga Revenge sequel anime project announced on Monday that the franchise will have its first side story manga titled Zombie Land Saga Gaiden: The First Zombie. Kasumi Fukagawa, the character designer for the first and second seasons of the anime, is drawing the manga. The manga will launch in the June issue of Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine on May 19. The announcement teases a certain character's "legendary past."
