RUMOR: Beyond Good & Evil 2 Has A Release Date:

Now a European retailer, Zavvi, has a listing for the title in its gaming store. The title is listed for the PS3 and Xbox 360 at 50 pounds and PC for 30, with a description that states plainly:

The game has not yet, however, been officially announced under the title "Beyond Good & Evil 2" it is instead referred to simply as "Next Michel Ancel Project."

More interesting, the listing indicates that the game is scheduled for a March 22, 2014 release. Could Zavvi have inside information of which other retailers are unaware? Most likely not, but it is the first date we’ve seen for BG&E2, and it is oddly specific.

Gira un rumor partito da un articolo su Nintendo Direct di oggi che dice che il gioco fosse in sviluppo per WiiU con l'intezione di portarlo su altre console in futuro,ma che sia stato cancellato in seguito alle scarse vendite di WiiU.

Il sito allega anche delle previsioni sul ND (roba Ubisoft in particolare) di oggi,bisognerebbe vedere se hanno azzeccato il resto :unsisi:

Mah...ne girano di voci su sto gioco, non so più a cosa credere io sinceramente.

However, we had a staff member at DICE and he heard about a game cancellation on Wii U and after putting the pieces together we’re fairly confident that Beyond Good & Evil 2 is the game that fits the description. The game was a sequel to a game that flopped commercially but built up a fanbase over time. It was in development for Wii U and the hope was to “up-port” it to future consoles for launch but things looked risky from the business end. The two reasons given for the cancellation of the project were:
1) Sales of Wii U were too low in Europe, where the publisher was looking to get a significant amount of the game sales.

2) The publisher heard the pricing of one future console from the console’s maker and got scared that penetration of the console at launch might be too low due to the economy.

Taking such a gamble was too much at the moment for the publisher and they axed development of the entire project.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 was in the works for PS3, X360, Wii U – rumour

Beyond Good & Evil 2 was in active development at Ubisoft Montpellier from 2007 to 2011, a staffer’s CV suggests.

According to the LinkedIn profile of an Ubisoft level designer, the project was slated for release on PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360.

It’s not clear if the 2011 end-date refers to the project going on hold, or if the staffer moved on to other tasks.

A sequel to the classic Michael Ancel action-adventure has popped up numerous times over the years, but has never made it as far as a full reveal. It’s now expected to arrive on next-generation hardware, which suggests the development period listed on the staffer’s CV was for an older attempt.

Ubisoft has said the game will be done when it’s done. Ubisoft Montpellier has turned its attention to Rayman, another Ancel creation, as well as ZombiU.

Beyond Good & Evil 2 was first announced for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in May 2008. Since then, the game’s been largely silent, with publisher Ubisoft hinting that current-gen hardware isn’t enough for the Michel Ancel-led sequel.
That silence shouldn’t last much longer.

“I don’t give comments anymore on Beyond Good & Evil 2,” Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told Kotaku during a post-PlayStation Meeting interview, “because I think … the next time next time we communicate we have to have something new.”

He added: “It’s coming.”

io spero per loro che esca almeno come cross gen e che non lo switchino alla next gen... anche perchè sarebbe un suicidio totale a livello di vendite.

 
Questo è un gioco che ho giocato sia su PC ai tempi dell'uscita,sia scaricato dal PSN lo scorso anno su PS3,quindi non disdegnerei un seguito (di cui se ne parla da anni ormai),anche perchè secondo me BG&E è stato un pò sottovalutato, e dalla critica e in generale.

Non ricordo dove ero, ma non mi ero bloccato perché non sapevo dove andare ma perché non riuscivo a fare una cosa :rickds: Forse mi mancavano quelle sfere del cazz :reg2: Ma perché tutti dite che è così bello? Per la trama? Sono all'inizio ancora lo trovo carino ma non così eccezionale :unsisi:
