Con la situazione che c'è stata fino alla fine del 2022 non aveva neppure molto senso farle. Queste console spesso sono destinate a collezionisti, ma in quel momento c'erano milioni di utenti che avrebbero voluto comprare una console standard ed era giusto dare la priorità a loro rispetto a un collezionista che avrebbe comprato la console speciale senza mai tirarla fuori dalla scatola.
