Non un caso

The first Yakuza game features a recording of the Christian hymn "Amazing Grace", and Yakuza 2 features the Christmas carol "Silent Night, Holy Night". Each song is played during their respective game's end credits. Both games were set around December which is probably why the songs were chosen.

Mega Man 8

In the Saturn version, Cut Man and Wood Man from Mega Man and Mega Man 2 make appearances as mini-bosses in Duo's mini-stage and Search Man's stage respectively. The former is optional, while the latter is mandatory. A remix of their themes also plays while battling them.

Several levels and characters that appear throughout the game come from deleted scenes from the Lion King movie. During the film's production, the transition from young Simba to adult Simba was originally much longer, and featured a number of the events that occur within the game. Because the game was being produced alongside the film, these levels were being created during the point when it was decided to have these scenes removed from the film. It was decided to keep these levels and characters kept in the game, even though they never appear in the film's theatrical release.

According to Oliver Wade a sequel to Maui Mallard was planned, some animations for the sequel were made, along with a new character line up for the game, but Disney wasn't interested in funding a sequel after the mediocre success of the original. Oliver doesn't remember what the story would have been other than that it would have involved zombies, pirates, plant people, and sea monkeys.
