Donkey Kong Country 2 (GBA)

At Cranky's Video Game Heroes, there are three ranks that a player can reach if they collect enough DK coins. The characters that have each rank by default are Mario, Yoshi, and Link. In the original SNES release of the game, there is a trash can in the bottom-right corner with a sign that says "No Hopers". Next to the trash can is Sonic the Hedgehog's speed shoes and Earthworm Jim's gun. The No Hopers section and these items are completely removed in the Game Boy Advance port of the game.

Kamandol's final weapon upgrade, "Rod of Hermes", is a reference to the real-life caduceus, the "Staff of Hermes" used by numerous healthcare organizations as a symbol of medicine.

Una spina sempre in testa

Una delle cose che impari subito nel gioco è che conviene sempre far portare a Chibi Robo la sua presa di corrente sulla testa, per correre più veloce.
Ah questo tempo che scappa sempre troppo veloce...

The Last Blade

Shinnosuke Kagami was modeled after the characters Hiko Seijuro from Rurouni Kenshin, and Shinobu Sensui from Yu Yu Hakusho. The visual design was inspired by the former, and the overall character was based on the latter.

Una storia concepita per essere raccontata in modo diverso

cRUO24z.jpeg

The story of Tale Phantasia (the original name of Tales of Phantasia) was originally intended to be presented from three different viewpoints.

The first of the viewpoints presents the story of Winona Pickford who would have met the main antagonist, Dhaos (he originates from another world), shortly after his arrival on the new world of Aselia. At first Winona Pickford sympathizes with his goals, until she saw his increasing violent behavior. This first part of the story was cut due to space limitations of the game's cartridge.

The second viewpoint is from that of Rhea Scarlet, the daughter of two prominent scientists. Her parents were the first casualties of the upcoming war which Dhaos was going to start. This viewpoint was not cut like the first one, but it was included in a smaller form than it was intended to be.

The last viewpoint tells the story of Cress Albane, the main protagonist in the final game. The final release was heavily built around this perspective.

Jade's reward for beating the Baticul Single coliseum on Advanced is a new costume title and a spear named "Dunamis". The Dunamis spear is a reference to Loni Dunamis from Tales of Destiny 2, who also fought with a spear.

TMNT Fighting Tournament (SNES)

Aska is wearing a thong as part of her leotard in the Japanese release. These were changed to shorts in all other releases. For her victory pose, in the Japanese version she spins, then thrusts out her chest, causing her breasts to bounce. Internationally, she simply folds her arms.

Povero Ultros

Even though Ultros claims to be an octopus in his DLC Coliseum fight, he only has 7 tentacles. This makes him neither an octopus (eight tentacles) or a squid (ten tentacles).

New Feature

Yoshi's Cookie

In the Game Boy version of the game, it's possible to access a debug menu using Game Genie codes. The top of the debug menu reads "Hermetica Debug Mode", suggesting that the title was originally to be called Hermetica, having no affiliation to the Mario series.

Monster Rancher:

Dead or Alive

Kasumi's 14th costume from the PlayStation version of the game is a reference to the Angel from Monster Rancher.

A full remake of the game was included as a sample project in Sword of Moonlight: King's Field Making Tool. Just like the original game, this was also a Japan-exclusive release.
